Photography has changed my life in ways I never could have imagined. I had no idea the activity that started as a hobby would transform my entire way of thinking and lead me to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
As a former Atheist I was at odds with the idea of God for the better part of 20 years. I had accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior on 2 previous occasions, but my lack of faith and my unwillingness to help build a solid foundation would lead to my eventual spiritual downfall. Not having been a part of any studies or circles of friends to push me in the right direction my fate was inevitable.
I started photography the wetlands of South Florida more than a decade ago. As you can imagine I have spent hundreds of hours photographing exploring. I noticed that the more time I spent in nature the more awestruck I became. I eventually started questioning my own lack of belief. I noticed my heart was slowly softening to the idea that we are not just a result of chance.
I spent years debating God's existence and demanded 'proof'. It eventually became evident that all I had to do was open my eyes. His creation was right in front of me. Psalm 19:1 reads 'The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.' This verse is very special to me being seeing I finally saw my photography refuges for what they truly are.
I don't take credit for my work. Instead I believe God gave me the patience to learn and become a good student of photography. God gave me a knack for capturing his creation. This is the reason www.ourcreatorscanvas.com points visitors to my photo gallery. God's glory is on full display.
My hope is that when others see my photos they will think of me and more importantly share my testimony. That no matter where you are in life. No matter how broken you are. Even an ex-atheist like me has a place in God's kingdom. Even someone like YOU.
God bless you and thank you for taking the time to read.
