Ron Kent, who is also known as Ronald E. Kent is an American wood turner who was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1931. He operated his own financial investment company in Hawaii. In 1975, his wife Myra gave him a lathe for Christmas. Not wanting to seem unappreciative, he walked down to the beach and found a piece of driftwood.
