I began painting relatively late in life. My journey began in 1997 at the age of 50 when I happened upon the Joy of Painting, hosted by Bob Ross. I was fascinated by the 'wet-on-wet' style of painting and the fact that I didn't have to learn to draw in order to create landscape works of art that seem to just grow out of the canvas as the paint is applied.
