Sandra has always been fascinated with nature, especially the ocean and the colorful abundance of life within. Originally from Switzerland, she moved to Florida to be able to SCUBA dive and paint her marine encounters, as well as the wealth of exotic wild and plant life.

Inspired by the abundant marine life, she has been compelled to focus on the colors and movement of this fascinating realm. As a Dive Instructor, Underwater Photographer and Wild Life Preservationist it is her privilege to bring the viewer of her art closer to marine wild life, and to the importance of preservation.

Her Marine and Wildlife Paintings are mostly acrylic on canvas, sometimes incorporating objects found such as shells and dried leaves, which are layered and fused with a heavy gel medium to further enhance the connection to nature.

Sandra is a permitted volunteer with STOP (Sea Turtle Oversight Protection) and she spends many nights nest sitting and rescuing Sea Turtle Hatchlings on Broward County Beaches. This is one of the many causes she supports with fundraisers. Her love for SCUBA diving leads her to support SUDS (Soldiers Undertaking Disabled Scuba) as well as a diversity of other Marine and Wildlife related causes.
