Sharon Marston grew up in New England and has been creating art for over 30 years.

She graduated from Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine in May of 1995. Since then she has exhibited in shows and taken on freelance work, much of which consists of digital painting and graphic design.

Sharon currently lives in a small New Hampshire town with her family. Home is her favorite place to be. She is surrounded by woodlands and open fields. She enjoys gardening and taking care of the animals on her small farm. Her surroundings give her ample inspiration and freedom to create the art that fills her soul.

'Boundless creative energy', is a phrase Sharon uses to describe herself. 'I have a very active imagination and I come up with new ideas, new visions of things I want to paint. Ideas for colors and compositions are always swirling around in my brain.'

Sharon is dedicated and hard working. She is one of the founding members of the Art Licensing Group of NH and is very focused on art licensing and seeing her beautiful images enhance a variety of products for world wide enjoyment. Sharon is proud to be represented by Studio Voltaire of La Mesa, California.

'My rural surroundings inspire me and the work I create. The texture of peeling paint and old wood from the side of my barn usually shows up somewhere in my digital work. The way sunlight plays with trees and wanders through forested places intrigues me and always finds a place in my traditional painting.

Being in a good place or moving into a better, brighter place is what I try to express in much of my work. My joy comes from seeing a smile and a connection when a person views my work for the first time. I don’t want to confuse anyone, I’m not about that. Even if I make something that is more abstract, a smile is my intended first reaction, nothing else. I want to keep it simple, bright and happy.'
