I am an artist from the womb. It is a talent and a gift God gave me.
I specialize in digital art, botanical, abstracts and photo manipulation with an emphasis on light and color. I try to focus less on exact details and more on impressions and feelings. You will see the influence of my favorite styles in my work such as post impressionist, expressionist and also modern digital techniques like glitch art and abstracts.
Some of my favorite subject matter are wildflowers and plants. I have studied the local flora and plant life in my area of central Oklahoma in the USA and most of my botanical themed artwork is made from my own photographs taken in the course of that study.
I also love animals and many of my pet portraits or works that feature dogs and cats are or were my very own pets. I also enjoy making creative wildlife art, like my lion portrait or bear poster, also my under the sea theme pieces of seals and sea turtles that I created using stock images to start with. But my snakes are from my own snapshots.
Most of my bird art comes from my own photos of bluebirds, cardinals, bluejays, hawks, sparrows and more. Landscapes and trees are another favorite with me and especially bare naked tree branches.
In addition I love to create unique and exciting fractal art that I hope stands out to the viewer as completely fresh and different from other fractal art out there and I hope will become recognized as my signature fractal style.
Creating abstract art is another of my passions and I like to explore new techniques in digital painting and sometimes use a photo as the starting point just to use the color pallet. I also recently created a few digital mosaic art pieces from my naive style paintings and photos.
I hope you enjoy browsing my eclectic art gallery and that you will find something here that reaches out and grabs you to add to your own art collection while you help to support an independent artist. Thanks for visiting!
