Art is a wonderful form of expression that connects the artist to nature and can enhance a sometimes ordinary scene with colorful paints creatively applied to canvas. As a child growing up, no scrap of paper was spared as I sketched faces, figures, landscapes and abstracts. I enjoy working with all kinds of media such as acrylic and oil paints, pastels and ink pen. Although oil painting has given me the most flexibility in expression and use of color, the time and attention to detail required by ink drawings brings out the deepest levels of artistic expression and commitment. I enhanced my love for art by taking a Plein Air workshop with Steve Kell in Laguna, CA and gained experience in landscape and portrait painting studying under Elaine Mathews in Palm Springs and Leo Fuchs in Palm Desert, CA. I am a member of the Desert Art Center in Palm Springs and have contributed paintings to fund-raising sales at the Palm Springs Art Museum. My hope is to share with the viewer some of the joy and exhilaration used in the creation of my art. Thank you for taking the time to view my website.
