I’m a Sri Lankan girl hailing from the beautiful hill country Kandy, also known as the last kingdom of Sri Lanka.
I discovered my self in my Seventh grade when I changed my subject of choice from Music to Art, which resulted me to get the Art Prize from my school for five consecutive years until I left school with the final award Artist of the year. I was told by many teachers, friends and family to continue my passion as a career. Right after school I jumped into pursuing an education in Architecture in Sri Lanka and transferred to United States (I still am a student). I postponed being creative because I got busy with education and life. As they say ‘It’s never too late’. So here I’m trying to kick back and start being an Artist.
I’m an Abstract, Realistic, Mixed media painter and an Amateur photographer. I like using beautiful bold colors and texture in my paintings. My material consists of top grade professional Acrylics, Oils, Pencil and Medium. Colors, patterns, textures and random things that I find in everyday life constantly inspire me.
