Thank you for visiting. I'm Sonler Alexandre, artistically known as Sonye Locksmith. I started painting in June 2015, but I have always been interested in art. I'm truly enjoying my artistic journey, and I mostly do abstract acrylic painting, but at times I explore different art mediums.
I am a self-taught artist growing in my craft. I am not afraid to ask questions and learn from other artists about techniques and the artistic process. I find art to be therapeutic. Painting got me out of a stage of depression. It helps me understand patience and allows me to look at things from a different perspective. It has healed me in ways that no human can. I invite you to explore my work and ask any questions you have.
Artists I admire include legends and personal friends who encourage my artistic passion: Paul Jackson Pollack, Salvador Dali, Van Gough, Sebastian Pierre, John Alamo, Kevin A. Williams, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kervin Andre, and Mckinson Souverain.
I currently reside in Jacksonville, FL.
Sonye Locksmith joined Fine Art America on March 4th, 2018.
