Sonny Zandueta is a visual artist who spent most of his adult life in Europe and the United States. In 1983, he was awarded 2nd place winner in the non-representational category of the prestigious annual Art Association of the Philippines (AAP) art competition. The winning work “Rising Sun” carried a social awareness message on the state of the Filipino.
