A bonsai enthusiast for over twenty years, Stephen, after retiring, began creating ceramic containers for his trees. Over the last six years, he has developed an interest in sculptural ceramics and sculpture in wood and stone. Sculptural ceramic pieces are assembled from altered , wheel thrown and/or hand built sections which are frequently textured. Layering of glazes and the addition of texture are used to create variable colorful patterns.
