Steven Scott is a Punta Gorda, Florida based, free-lance photographer with a wide range of visual interests.
Inspired by his 'pro' son Andy J Scott (wwwandyjscott.com), and local Florida photographers like Clyde Butcher, Angie Chestnut and Rich Leighton, he loves Black & White, landscapes, macro, and abstract shots.
Summering in Harrington, Maine on Wabi Sabi Farm, he switches from tropical to boreal landscapes, and spends his time growing organic vegetables, hiking and canoeing.
Active with Vets With a Mission, an NGO doing humanitarian work in SE Asia, Steven visits Vietnam annually to work with medical teams and photograph this beautiful and interesting country, culture, and people. Other volunteer work includes projetcts with Earthwatch Institute and the Maine Entomological Society. He has made several videos, including the feature length, 'Butterflies of Vietnam,' which can be seen on Vimeo.com.
A member of the International Guild of Visual Peacemakers, a past volunteer with the Humane Society, an ESL teacher for Vietnamese refugees, and a Worldwide Photowalk Leader in Danang, Vietnam, Steven maintains an active lifestyle hiking, running, practicing QiGong, kayaking and canoeing... while continuing to work part-time as a registered nurse.
He is also a US Marine Vietnam vet, and a retired US Army National Guard officer.... shoots with a Nikon D300 and a waterproof Fujiflim W33Z wp, when in a kayak or canoe!

Steven Scott joined Fine Art America on October 19th, 2010.
