I started painting on cakes around 5 years ago and really loved it but found it difficult when the detailed work was eaten and many hours of hand painting was gone. Just prior to Covid, and due to the lack of cake orders I took up painting on canvas. My first few paintings were not the best as I adapted to the change in medium but I soon learned that I found oil painting far more satisfying - plus - I could actually hang the artwork instead of cut it up. My style is whimsical and fun and usually with animated characters. I would consider a commission if asked. more
