Toronto born and educated from grade school to university, Sue's interests, at that time, leaned toward raising a family and being an active participant in sports. A 5 year sojourn in Europe, in the 1960's, bought exposure to art in all it's forms and a new interest began to emerge. On her return to Toronto, many years later, an artist friend and teacher convinced Sue to take up watercolour painting, which she did, after retiring from the work force in the mid 1990's.
