After graduating from Parsons in New York, Susan enjoyed a twenty-five year career as a Fashion Illustrator on the art staffs of Womens Wear Daily and Glamour Magazine.
She was trained in all the classical disciplines emerging as an illustrator which influences her paintings. Strong drawing,line,shape ,color and composition can be appreciated by the viewer.
Susan brings the experience of teaching figure drawing at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York to her local area as she conducts inspiring workshops periodically.
Living in coastal North Carolina, she is inspired by the landscape and seascapes of yacht basins,marshes and people in small quaint villages. Her award winning paintings are in many private and corporate collections across the US.
Susan is a signature member of the Watercolor Soc. of NC and member of local art associations. She exhibits at Ricky Evans Gallery,Franklin Square Gallery both in Southport NC, SunsetRiver Marketplace,Calabash NC
