Tania Shute was born on October 4, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, and developed an interest in Photography from an early age. At 19 she decided to join the Army to serve her country as a Correctional Specialist. After nine years in the military, a tour to Guantanamo Bay, and one to Afghanistan, she left the Army to follow her dream to become a photographer.
