Born in Zimbabwe in 1972, I immigrated to South Africa with my parents at the age of six, and was raised on a farm in the Eastern Transvaal near the Kruger National Park. After matriculating, I continued my studies at Potchefstroom (North-West) University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction, and a Higher Education diploma.
