Tauna Brown
I was born and raised in Cache Valley, Utah. Watching my mother draw and paint from a very young age, I have always been interested in the world of art and imagination.
Growing up, my mother taught me how to paint and draw. And all threw school I was always around drawing in my sketchbook, trying to capture the beauty I seen all around me from day to day. In anything, even simple things I would see that would catch my eye in which I felt were unique and beautiful. I've always had ideas and pictures in my mind that I've wanted to share with the world.
Every art class I would attend was more of an escape then a class. I fell in love with oil painting when I was a junior back in high school. When I picked up my paint brush in art class and started blending the colors together the thought occurred to me, Wow, this feels so familiar, wonderful and relaxing I want to keep doing this forever!
From then on, I've always been painting. I realize it makes me happy and a better person inside. I feel like I'm accomplishing something worthwhile.
My paintings reflect who I am. I have been searching around and trying to find my style. I enjoy working with vibrant colors, and focal points. Working with layers and shapes in a painting. What images I want to stick out, what images I want to set back. All in all it is a magical experience to create a peice that works well within itself. To express to the veiwer an emotion or feeling that they can relate to.
Art to me, is my way of relaxing and expressing myself. When I paint I go somewhere else. I am free and alive. It is a talent and a love I've known all my life. I feel my art is a way of communicating to people who I am. My feelings, thoughts and emotions on the inside. So thank you very much for visiting my page!
