Franco was born in Milan, Italy.Â
Since I was a child, I loved drawing animals, dinosaurs, and dragons.
Specializing in naturalistic illustration, in the last 15 years I had focused my attention on the realization of realistic images of dinosaurs and primitive mammals.
He collaborated with national and foreign publishers, such as National Geographic Kids, Smithsonian Institute, Random House, Firecrest Publishing, Geoworld, and important publishers and advertising agencies of Italy.
Since 1990, he's member of the Italian Illustrators Association.
In 2011 he won the second prize award at the International Paleontology Illustration Competition (IPIC 2011) & Exhibit - Brasil
In April 2014, the Museum of Paleontology of Naples hosted a permanent exhibition dedicated to his illustrations of dinosaurs.
In 2016 Franco won the first prize award of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology’s Lanzendorf - National Geographic PaleoArt Prize for 2D Art 2016.
In October 2017 he won the first prize award at the IX International Contest of Dinosaur Scientific Illustration 2017, organized from the
Fundaciòn para el estudio de los Dinosaurios en Castilla y Leon.
In November 2018 he won the second prize award at the X International Contest of Dinosaur Scientific Illustration 2018, organized from the Fundaciòn para el estudio de los Dinosaurios en Castilla y Leon.
He loves nature, the ocean , scuba diving, and traveling.
