Born and raised in a pecan bottom Oklahoma, I grew up with a love for nature and the land. Of Cherokee, Creek and Coushatta Indian decent, along with English, Irish and Spanish, a veritable American soup. I have always had a deep compassion for the American Indians since an early age, a time when most folks were not encouraged to claim any native ancestry.
