Vivian Bound Artist’s Statement: I look around myself and I see a complexly intertwined and intricately detailed beauty in nature itself and in things created by man that cause me to know this all didn’t just happen by chance. I paint to preserve, to feel, to touch with my heart a small part of the beauty and complexity that I see and feel all around me.
I am a self taught artist. I was a member of the Brush and Palette Art Guild for about 12 years. I held the post of Newsletter Editor, secretary, and Web Page Designer. We have moved out of that area, but I am now in the Greater Kansas City Art Association and the Olathe Visual Artists.
I work in many mediums: Watercolor, Colored Pencil, Pastel, Inks, Oils and Stained Glass (I don't have a space to work stained glass at this time). I have placed my work in shows and have earned many awards. Art is a hobby for me, although I am becoming more involved in art as a business. My goal is to never stop learning new techniques and trying new mediums. I do some photography as reference material for my paintings and may add some photography here in the future. I would prefer to sell prints of my paintings over selling the originals. I will do commission artwork. If you have questions don't hesitate to ask. www.boundbyartstudios.com firstname.lastname@example.org
