I began to consciously draw at six years old. At seven years, I decided on the priorities of the images and began to paint space, stars, the moon and space rockets. At 10 years of age for my birthday, I was given a thick book. It was called 'The young artist'. It contained the many collected masterpieces from the world art and architecture. Many illustrations, brief bibliographic texts, art summaries, etc... I liked it a lot - especially the works of Leonardo da Vinci as a whole. Later, he became my idol and 'Mental Master' for life. What also struck my fancy were the mystical paintings of Vrubel, Durer, landscapes by Shishkin, 'Water' by Aivazovsky, the expressiveness of Rockwell Kent, the mysterious landscapes of Kuindji, and the work of Nicholas Roerich... At 15 years the explorer had awakened in me. I was reading books on cosmology, bionics, philosophy, and science fiction. After that, I realized that I could be a scientist or a science fiction writer... But fate decided otherwise, and I choose the path of the artist. And now I'm the one who came up with it all and painted these pictures.
