The Sorrowful Autumn
(Specially written for my friend artist Fred Jinkins)

Summer is drifting further away
leaving behind an adoring sensation

Autumn is coming
and
creating
a confusing moment
as the breezy wind rustles inside tree canopies
when it’s blowing colorful leave.

White cloud forms a mournful headband on the sky
during the long funeral;
in
which
it grieves for the dying summer.
Hot and dried weather would be fully buried
under layers of soggy leaves and rainfalls.

As if it were yesteryear,
farewell footprints
from the last Fall
still
could be seen
on the olden trail.
Somehow it arises inside my inner self
a wild-wild dream of strolling around on the lost path again.

Life in exile is always as painful as it would be
I often feel as if I were a dying leaf
drifting
very far away
from the main branch
of my former homeland.

My emotion has been entwined like a tangled roll
that would have ever been undone
to its original norm
and form
again.

Triste Automne

L'été dérive plus loin
laissant derrière lui une sensation adorante

L'automne arrive
et
créant
un moment confus
alors que le vent souffle dans les auvents
quand il souffle des feuilles colorées.

Le nuage blanc forme un
bandeau de deuil
sur le ciel
pendant les funérailles longues;
dans
lequel

encore.

Hope

What's going down must go up
sooner or later
for
sure.

The sun always comes out after heavy rain;
we might see the clear sky
with a beautiful rainbow
in full spectrum

colours.

So long as we keep our hope intact,
everyone one of us will see the bight sunlight
after many days

Description
"You don't love someone for their looks, or their clothes, or for their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear." ~ Oscar Wilde

An echo to the quote by Alfred Adler: "Follow your heart but take your brain with you."

No Logic in Romaine

She prefers to take the brain with her,
whenever, she follows her heart
on the path
of
romaine.

Alas, it’d be totally worthless;
simply, ’cause, there’d be absolutely
no logic in love
for
the brain
to comprehend.

As soon as, she falls into it;
her mind is blind;
her heart is lost
she’s drowned
deep
deeper
deepest
‘til she hits the bottom of the ocean o’ love
and gets stuck there for the rest of her life

It's nearly impossible say good bye;
unless, she wanna get out of it
with
a troublesome mind
and a shattered heart.

My dear friend Vivian. Thank you very much for your reply. You're lucky to live in Australia - a rich country with abundant natural resources. I love Aussies's romantic accent.

I’m poetically inspired by your comment "I pray for the well-being of our fellow humans enduring nature's 'gifts' to remind us of how powerless we really are..........the lions know.".

Pollution: How Would We Deal With It?

It’s up to us to take whatever best
for us and for our own lives.
no one would dare
challenge
us.

Why would they would care?
unless,
we’re
their loved ones.

So
go ahead
keep praying
if you truly believe in God,
who knows
He might help you cope with your own mess.
or
you
would do
whatever make you feel at ease
from the cluttered rubbish which we've dumped around our own home.

I myself believe
I’m the one
who has dug up my own hole
I
must
fill it up by myself
if I wanna get out of it.

It time for us to stop polluting:
the air we breathe,
the food we eat,
the water we drink,
the space we live in…

What the heck are we waiting for?
Let’s do it together
in our own way.
you pray;
I act.

Nice to see you here, Peggy. Thank you for your poems: Kats and Dogs. . Victoria's sky is clearer, because we have got some rainfall in the at two days. I hope the wildfire smoke would have been cleared up in your area and you would breathe fresh air too.

Hi Viet. Yes, we got some rain yesterday finally and it might happen again today so the smoke has cleared away. We've had about three weeks of smokey skies here on the Sunshine Coast. We really need more rain though, don't we? I just went for a hike and the air is intoxicatingly fresh for a change.

Good evening EVERYONE.
Thank you very much Peggy, Vivian, and Ken. I appreciate your dialogues that make me feel connected to the outside world.

@ Peggy: Happy to hear that the air quality on your Sunshine Coast is much better now. In Victoria, the sun is back today and the atmosphere has becoming little bit murky by the end of the day. According to the local weather forecast, it'll be sunny in the next two weeks. Therefore, we may breathe the badly smokey air again.

@ Vivian: The world, we live in, has increasingly drifted apart. It is too far to build any bridge between the left and the right. Anyway, you and i won't be here to witness the doomsday of mankind. I think we'd better take the best of each day, don't you agree?

@ Ken: Nice to see your dropping by my thought-provoking artist. The past has gone, wouldn't it be better to leave it alone? In addition, it seems impossible to predict what would be in the future. Let's celebrate this instant moment, my friend.

Enjoy a restful evening,

True Love Has No Sex

She is very attractive,
Her eyes are in deep blue
as the color of a mystic sky
in
one of van Gogh’s paintings.

Her gentle nature makes her
a perfect female
the best dream
of
every man.
He feels very relaxed in his trouble-free time with her.

Unlike his former relationship with other females,
he falls in love with her
purely
from his heart
without any sexual desire attached.

He enjoys putting her on his lap,
running his fingers through her hair
to sense the softness on her neck
while
listening to her moan
of purring in orgasm…

After going through hell from different failed relationships,
he has totally lost trust in women
in general.
so
he can only rely on her
he has never considered her as a pet
but a trustworthy companion for the rest of his life

Sardine Beach

Driving down the beach highway
On a beautiful day
I saw the sign
Sardine Beach

Sounds interesting
I thought I’d pull over
Trying not to crash
Or cut someone off
Wow I’ve never seen the beach
where they do the canned sardines

All I saw were sun bathers
Packed together like sardines
I then realized why they call it Sardine Beach
I ran back to my car and tore out
Trying not to crash again
I don’t want to be a sardine

Social Media ‘n Toilet Paper

the worst disease of modern man’s
isn’t
Coronavirus
that generated the outbreak in Wuhan, China.
then it has transformed into global pandemic
but it’s the rubbish
from social media
that
spreads collective panic,
drives the general public insane,
and creates the community stampede.
instead
of
sitting down,
taking deep breaths,
letting the dirt settle down.
until
his mind is clear,
his heart is calm,
to gain his common sense back,
man tends to commit the opposite.
he irrationally overreacts simply based on his survival instinct.

alas, social media has added more salt to the open wound.
it picks up his personal fear, then quickly infests
every corner of the world
with a snowball
effect.

during a pandemic, we’re too freaked to act reasonably.
we all rush to meet our very basic needs
by purchasing food and supplies
for many months.
we stockpile much more
than we’re truthfully in need of.

anyhow, we naturally do it.
purely because, following our animal-pack mentality
would help
us
ease our anxiety,
release our stress,
and gain our sense of security.
thus, it makes us feel safe and sound.
it’s the only damned reason
to explain why the heck on earth.

the world is now suddenly in serious shortage of toilet paper.
no big deal at all.
simple solution to this “contemporary problem”:
the caveman used some water
or/and only his bare hands
to wash off or wipe out
his dirty
butt.
yuck! it sounds terribly awful, doesn’t it?

however, the so-called civilization has been
technically helping
us
perform
many simple tasks in our daily living.
without hi-tech supports, modern mankind can no longer survive at all.

An echo to Jim Taylor’s poem The Price of Fuel. It's an amazingly thought-provoking poetry

Modern Robbery

modern human could survive on the very basics in his daily life
as he did in his good
old days
by
walking
riding a bike,
taking the public transportations,
heating his home with firewood from jungles,
and consuming much less industrialized products.

practically, his current living is much different
than the simple lifestyle in past.
it is too hard for any human
to last
very long,
without coping
with a great deal
of physical and mental sufferings
since the current economy,
in which he lives,
mainly depends
on
the petroleum industry,
the business with an annual profit
of a huge amount about trillions of dollars.

the cost of living has been skyrocketed
by
high prices in fuel
that have been blamed
for
wars,
social unrests,
natural disasters,
and many other catastrophes,
except for the pure selfishness of gaining unseasonably huge profits .

we - all humans have been legally robbed
not only at gas stations
but also
at works
at homes
in restaurants
in shopping malls
or wherever we go to,
and whenever we’re in need of services.

we feel the pain in our asses
we have the right to get mad like hell
as our wallets have been
drained
to the last cent
of our hard-earned money.

whom should we blame for this modern pickpocketing scam?
those millionaires and trillionaires?
or our own failure
of becoming
one
of these
heartless
modern robbers
in our so-called civilized society?

Butcha Killings - the Nightmare of an Invasion War

the invader army lost its battle;
before
its withdrawal
from the occupied territory
its soldiers committed the horrible massacre
they left disturbingly shocked
and heart-broken
images
of
bodies
in civilian clothes
strewn on streets
all over the ruined city.

unarmed victims were shot dead
at close range
in a brutal execution style
some with hands tied behind their backs
some with plastic bags covered their heads
some female bodies raped and burnt.

how the hell on earth
such
an atrocious war crime
could be committed in this modern era?

would there be any remote possibility
that the current Czar
cease
his so-call “special military operation”
and give up his dream of building a vast empire
before his own nation
going
down the drain?
or would he go ahead to his dead-end
by committing suicide and taking the whole world with him?

let’s hope modern mankind
have
enough courage
to fight any war crime against humanity
even at the costly price of the doomsday of our world.

A poetic echo to Vivian's Milky Way

Of Time, Space, and Love

time is going ahead nonstop
it’s flying fast
washing
away
everything to the past
nothing could last on its destruction path.

oh dear
my worst fear
the cyclone of time could suck me through its blackhole
and throw me away from you
I wouldn't want
to get
lost forever
in the infinite universe.

your love keeps me
from being drifted away
too far away
to the milky way;

hold me tight in your warm heart
i want to stay with you ‘til my last day on earth.

Where am I going

Where am I going
What am I doing here
Have I been here before
Where did I come from
Is the sea to big for me

Who am I
Am I an ant
Or perhaps an elephant
Does it make any difference
Maybe I am an ant on an Elephants back
As we journey to that somewhere

As I watch the sea splash
It seems to lick my wounds
Like a dogs tongue that heals

Have I been here before
Where did I come from

Will the world end
Or will it keep spinning
In that perfect orbit
How many have asked these questions over the centuries

The Wild Dream of Extraordinary Creativity

most artists believe
they do something
freshly
innovative
and exceptionally creative.
alas, they don’t recognize the damned fact
they have followed their bad habit
of having been doing
the same shit
everyday,
year
after year;

they prefer hiding themselves
inside their own deep shells
of the comfort zone
for the great
fear
of
any change
that may take their easy lifestyle away.

they always whine, complain, and protest
against anything
out
of
daily norms
those are not in line with their mindset.

these wannabe artists
somewhat
dream
of
becoming celebrity,
having lots of money,
enjoying a luxurious lifestyle,
without taking risks from any light change in their daily living.

no change, no pain, no gain in the mind
that is absolutely static
it is likely impossible
to create something
creatively
groundbreaking
artistically exceptional in fine-art

it’s the same truth as in life and love
how could there be any joy
with
neither cry
nor whine while having sex?

An echo to Vivian post about fence

Of Man’s Fence and Walls

mankind distinctly creates walls,
fences,
fortifications,
and various types of barriers,
in response to his long-lasting fear
of
being intruded
or being invaded
by another human or by other living beings on earth.

he thinks fence would help
him avoid
of
being attacked,
being robbed,
being harmed,
or being killed.

fence is built to claim man’s own territory
it serves as a boundary
for
his feeling
of being secured and safe;

while man believes he would protects himself
he psychologically self-imprisons
inside his own jail
which is nicely
named
as
his beloved nation,
his cozy community,
his home-sweet-home,
his own bedroom, and so on…

fence practically provides
human
with
a false sense of security,
it somewhat makes him thirst for freedom
it also makes him dream of a brighter world
outside
of his limited boundary.

“the grass always looks greener
on the other side
of
his fence, doesn’t it?”

Of War and Peace from Modern Politics

politicians of different ideologies and political dogmas have identical brainwaves.
they often share similar thoughts and beliefs;
they wear identical shoes;
they walk on the parallel road;
they head to the same destination;
they hold the damned dream of rising to power.

regrettably, politics has gone wild to the extreme;
regardless whatever a man’s stripe in politics is;
whether he’s from the left or the right;
politicians
(even
on the two
opposite sides)
always act the same shit.

politicians nowadays are so nasty
they are ready to commit
whatsoever needed
which would help
them
achieve
their ultimate goal of gaining the governing power
and fulfilling their conquering desire
of building a vast empire on earth,
at any cost
to
their nation
and the people whom they pledge to serve.
(Putin’s “special military operation" is a crude example
of the current Russian’s undeclared invasion war of Ukraine.)

they solemnly promise:
peace,
benefits for the people,
and best interests for the nation,
practically, they act the opposite by taking war.
instead of negotiation, they prefer to strike first,
at
high risks
of mass destruction,
environment devastation,
loss of millions of young men,
and deaths of civilians, including innocent children.

not much mankind could do to change his ill-fate;
wouldn’t he appreciate
and enjoy
as much as he can
whatever he’s holding in his trembling hands?

for those who are lucky to live
in democratic nations
of
the West,
they still have the basic human rights somewhat sanctioned.
at a certain level, they can retain their freedom,
and their constitution and legal rights;
they can protest;
they can rally;
at least,
they still can open their mouths wide
to
cry aloud
and complain
against injustice of the well-established rotten systems.

alas, on the other side of the fence
the grass doesn’t look greener;
billions of people around the world
are still tightly in the iron hands
of the brutal dictatorship
from
either rightwing junta
as the ones in Burma,
Middle East,
Africa
and South America
or from feudal communist regimes
as those in China, in Cuba, in North Korea, in Vietnam…

politics is bloodedly tainted at either end
not much change could be done;
we must take it as is.
for better or worse,
we’d better keep
dreaming
of
peace
for a better living;
but we must always be well-prepared for war
thus, we won’t be hit by the unexpected.

and below zero degrees Celsius at night.

it’s still too cold to do gardening and too wet for outdoor activities.
sky is gray;
sunlight is pale;
it isn’t warm enough;
no one likes to sit on a backyard deck
for a glass of wine or some beer.

it’s a four-day-long-weekend,
the happy holiday:
Good Friday
and Easter,
a good time
for
everyone
to take a break ‘n relax.
what the hell would people do
in such a terrible weather
like this?

i
myself
want to do nothing;
nothing but to be lazy
in four consecutive mornings;
even
with neither coffee,
nor breakfast.
it is totally up to her
to enjoy sex or without sex;
i’d rather idly stay in bed with her;
we'd slowly barbecue ourselves
until i'd wreck my back
and she'd become well-done.

i’d like to be warm,
cozy,
and comfy
by
sitting in front of a wood stove
watching its flickering flames,
and listening to the cracking sound of firebugs.
what the heck would love and life be?
oh
such
a wonderful dream!
it sounds unreal, doesn't it?
yet, i wish it would come true.

the weather has been acting very peculiar this year.
why wouldn’t i let myself go wild?
and i'd let my mind wander
out
of
the worn trail
of my daily living;
just once a year,
only on Good Friday and Easter.

Your Faulty Belief in Modern Politics

what the hell is he
that makes
you
believe
in him so much?
you are clueless about the clever con-artist
you’re so innocent in your belief as well
as you let him take the lead in politics
with
the false hope
of him driving you
safely
on the road
to a heaven-on-earth.

he has successfully lured many of you
into the mist of his trickeries
he leads you directly to
a burning
hell
of
his deceiving cobwebs.
he baits you to trade your gold for his shit;
alas, you mistakenly believe it a good deal.

you’ve been trusting the wrong man so much
that you honestly put your troublesome nation
and your fragile fates
in his malicious
hands.
somewhat, you faithfully believe
that you act accordingly
to your patriotism
you’ve been proud
of
your surfs
on the waves
of his rising populism.
you lend him your strong supports
so, he would help you
make your life better
and “Make America Great Again”.

alas, people have become aware of the damn fact:
he has been doing nothing for no one
but for his ongoing fundraising scheme
to save his own skin
from
bankruptcy.

the public isn’t too stupid to be deceived forever;
so soon as they become aware of their wallets
that have been somewhat drained.
many of them have already
jumped
off
his sinking ship.

"the old fella fools you once, shame on him;
the guy fools you twice, shame on you;"
the asshole fools you the third time, damn your silly mind!
the same shit fools you many more, damn your shattered heart!

don’t blame yourselves;
it’s the failure of the well-established system
that couldn’t legally prevent
those extremists
in
modern politics:
both ultra-rightists,
and far-left socialists,
or old-time communists,
from taking advantage of the public
and gaining huge monetary benefits
through the so-called fundraising schemes.

it’s too sad not to be mad
if
needed
go ahead…
to swear aloud
and inhale out
to cool your anger off
but get back on track soon
be on your own feet without outside help
and hold your wallets tight
from
being robbed
or being pickpocketed
by those talented con artists in politics in general.

Who Said the Modern Czar of Russia is a Genius?

He told the crowd at a recent campaign rally in Georgia
"The smartest one gets to the top.
That didn't work so well recently in our country.
But they ask me, 'Is Putin smart,’
I said, 'Of course, he's smart.’”

He told Conservative Radio Host Buck Sexton and Clay Travis:
"I went in yesterday
and there was a television screen,
and I said, 'This is genius.'
Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine -- of Ukraine.
Putin declares it as independent.
Oh, that's wonderful."

He also shared his viewpoint:
“And I actually thought
he was going to be negotiating.
I said,
'That's a hell of a way to negotiate,
put 200,000 soldiers on the border.
“I mean, he's taking over a country
for two dollars' worth of sanctions,"

He told a crowd at a recent fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago
about the Russian Invasion War of Ukraine:
"I'd say that's pretty smart.
He's taking over a country
really a vast, vast location,
a great piece of land with a lot of people,
and just walking right in."

You live in the West,
particularly,
in
the United States of America
the Heart of Democracy, Freedom, and Justice.
You should know who he is very well, don’t you?
And the fact that he has been inspired
by
Vladimir Putin
is nothing new to you
and to the rest of the world.

who should take the blame
and the shame
for
praising
the current Czar of Russia
during the invasion war of Ukraine?

it is totally up to
YOU
to
decide
what’s right and what’s wrong
based on YOUR own moral value.
