Shipping Cost

Hello,
Please help! Wondering how shipping cost works. For example, for one greeting card, it charges $15 on shipping then I add the code mug to same order, the shipping becomes 40 dollars for same order, shipping address is Portland, Oregon. The total cost for 2 items (greeting card & mug) is only $27, but the shipping cost is $40 which is quite strange?

In addition, is the link below still valid? There is no expiration date. If not valid, any idea why FAA did not remove this link?

Free shipping offer was valid on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

The greeting card and coffee mug are shipped from two different vendors and those must be Priority Mail shipping prices. Did they give you another shipping option?

Me thinks the card should only cost $1 to mail via regular mail.
