Is This Normal?

More than 1000 images uploaded, more than 2500 visitors and no sales. Could it be that people are just frame grabbing the images using something like snag it? The fine art water mark is not much of an obstacle.

Most of those visitors are not human, they are search engine bots and or web crawlers, indexing pages.

It is not just about how long you have been here or how many images you have. I is about how many people OUTSIDE FAA see your work.

The watermark is no obstacle at all except to discourage buyers.

What is remarkable is you only have 2500 views since 2014. A lot of those views are likely bot traffic. I have well over 200,000 views since 2012. And well over 100 sales with less than 1,000 images. I have not had a problem with screen grabs from this site. Maybe the problem is you are not marketing effectively, if at all.

Here is my checklist of things you can do.

I have been here a few months less than you and have more than 158,000 "views". I do have some sales, though not many. Most of the "views" are bots, bots don't buy things.

Jonathan, I browsed through some of your images. I'm sure you have some nice sellable images here but you need to promote them on Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, etc. But don't get over-excited with views. I have something like 45.2M views overall, but my sales certainly do not match this!! Good luck!

anything can be normal. 2500 views for 1000 images seems really low to me.

maybe people don't like the work, maybe your not telling people about it. look at a youtube video - millions of hits, and only 30 likes. and it really depends on the content. you have to always ask, if i saw my work in another store, would i want to get it? would it attract me?

i get around 2500 a day, or around there.

you should ask for a critique to get an idea of how others feel about your work.

Even though it says that I have been active since 2014, I was idle with my 25 images until 2 months ago. During that time I had actually sold one postcard. I have been very active with the microstock sites and was "talked into" trying FAA. I tried the link on facebook but all that shows up is a link to my pixels web site. No shopping cart, no new images. I have looked
at tutorials and I think that I am doing everything right.

As it says on the Facebook App page, the app it only works if you have well over 2000 fans on that page (from Aug 2018)

You now need to share using the FB button on the image page manually using the FB icon on the right of the image page
