Q. How will I know if I receive a sale through DesignerPrints.com? A. You'll receive an e-mail from Fine Art America, just like you always do. The sale will appear on your sales page and balance page on Fine Art America, as well. On your sales page and balance page, it will sale "Designer Prints" next to the sale if it came through DesignerPrints.com. Also, you'll notice that your profit is lower than a normal sale through Fine Art America.
Q. Can I login to DesignerPrints.com and make changes to my headshot, biography, titles, etc.? A. There is no need to. DesignerPrints.com is perfectly syncronized with Fine Art America. As soon as you make a change here, the change will appear over there, as well. Only interior designers and corporate art buyers can login to DesignerPrints.com for the sole purpose of viewing discounted prices and placing orders.
Q. Does DesignerPrints.com have a discussion forum, chat room, contests, events, etc.? A. No. It's for buyers only. Interior designers and corporate art buyers can login to DesignerPrints.com for the sole purpose of viewing discounted prices and placing orders. There are no social features.
Q. How do I control my prices on DesignerPrints.com? A. All that you can do is set your prices on Fine Art America. We'll then discount those prices when displaying them to buyers on DesignerPrints.com. The discount depends on the buyer (see "How low will my prices go?", above).
Q. Can I set a maximum discount that I am willing to accept? A. No. Not right now. We will be setting the discounts based on the order volume of the buyers. Larger buyers will receive larger discounts. Once we have a better feel for where our prices need to be, we will be publishing a formal discount schedule so that you can see the actual discount percentages that buyers will be receiving based on their annual purchasing volume.
Q. What if I'm not happy with the profits that I'm receiving for sales through DesignerPrints.com? A. Simply come back to this page, change the "YES" to a "NO" up top, and all of your images will be removed from DesignerPrints.com within 24 hours.
Q. Will the discounted prices on DesignerPrints.com be displayed to the general public? Am I going to be undercutting my sales on Fine Art America? A. No. The discounted prices are not visible to the general public. The discounted prices are only visible to buyers on DesignerPrints.com who have been approved by our staff and verified to be large-volume buyers. Approved buyers can only see the discounted prices when they login to the site.
Q. Will the price of materials (e.g. frames, mats, stretcher bars, etc.) be discounted on DesignerPrints.com, as well? A. Yes. There is no way that any large buyer is going to place an order on DesignerPrints.com unless the buyer is getting a wholesale price on the materials, as well. All material prices will be discounted.
Q. If I'm a premium member on Fine Art America, will I receive my "accessory commission" on all of my sales on DesignerPrints.com? A. No. There are no accessory commissions on any sales on DesignerPrints.com.
Q. Can I pick and choose which images I offer for sale on DesignerPrints.com? A. No. You can not select individual images. You have to say "YES" or "NO" to your entire portfolio.
Q. If I'm not happy with the sales that I'm receiving through DesignerPrints.com, how do I opt out and remove my images? A. Scroll to the top of this page and change the "YES" to a "NO".

Would it be out of line to ask how many buyers have been vetted and approved to buy through DS?
How many are buying at a 90% discount? Or what the average DS buyer is authorized at, 25%? 50%? 75%? I can see where that would be nice to know information upfront to avoid what seems to be more than a few people that were not prepared for the amount of the discount.
I have sold a few things via DS but I have not experienced any really deep discounts.
I just want to add, overall I think it is a great program and it is not out of line with wholesale programs I have both sold and bought through over the years.
of the things i've sold there, i've had quite few at 90% many at 50%. i'd love to know the criteria. are they buying a lot? or are they saying they will buy a lot? i'm curious why it would fluctuate why one of mine was like 90% off and the other like 10% off. same person, 2 things.
