Eat Drink Play Repeat

Four simple and yet powerful words to live by, Eat, Drink, Play, Repeat. Children of all ages know how to do it, they are all born with it. As we grow up and older into the real adult world, we get busy, things get hectic, life gets in the way, and before you know it, in the midst of life, this most fundamental of philosophy is forgotten and lost in the depths of our childhood. Well, this is a gentle reminder, you were right when you were young, and this fabulously colorful and vibrant artwork will never let you forget those four simple words ever again, Eat, Drink, Play, Repeat!
A perfect conversation piece and a work of art, your friends, family, and co-workers will surely be captivated when they enter your world to see this masterful and creative photo artwork adorning your wall and greeting them with the simple yet powerful words to live by! And what a motivating way to start your everyday, Eat, Drink, Play, Repeat!

This artwork would look terrific on a large canvas, and a print on any other media would look just as stunning!

Blackberry Cake Pastry

Cake is often served as a celebratory dish on ceremonial occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. There are countless cake recipes; some are bread-like, some are rich and elaborate, and many are centuries old. Cake making is no longer a complicated procedure; while at one time considerable labor went into cake making (particularly the whisking of egg foams), baking equipment and directions have been simplified so that even the most amateur cook may bake a cake.

The world's best cake is the one pictured right here. It comes from The Creekside Inn near Claysburg, PA. I think this slice was from my birthday a few years ago. Back in the day, we used to call chocolate cake "devil's food cake." i suppose it's politically incorrect to call it that now?? I dunno ...

Over the years that we've had our little cabin in the area, I've had a slice of this cake more than once. Sometimes I eat it a bite or maybe two bites a day ... and stretch the enjoyment out over several days.

But.

Sometimes. Sometimes I eat it all at once.

When that happens, I like to say "the devil made me do it."

Blueberry Cake Pastry

Pastry is a dough of flour, water and shortening that may be savoury or sweetened. Sweetened pastries are often described as bakers' confectionery. The word "pastries" suggests many kinds of baked products made from ingredients such as flour, sugar, milk, butter, shortening, baking powder, and eggs. Small tarts and other sweet baked products are called pastries. The French word pâtisserie is also used in English (with or without the accent) for the same foods. Common pastry dishes include pies, tarts, quiches and pasties.

When it's time for dessert, I think of something chocolate immediately. Who wouldn't! But I've heard through the grapevine that there are some people who actually prefer fruit for dessert. So here are some apples for those of you so inclined.

Coconuts ripening on a coconut palm tree

Sell Art Online

Palm Tree Art Print from an Original Watercolor Painting. Close up view of the palm fronds, trunk, leaves & flower stems. The coconut palm is considered "The Tree of Life" as it has many uses.
Flowers bloom from a sheath like pod "Spathe". The male petals open first, attracting bees with sweet nectar for a few days then dry out & fall off the tree. Then little round female flowers open & when pollinated, will mature into a coconut in about a year.

Bright green coconuts are immature, filled with drinkable water & soft meat. The husk slowly turns golden & then brown as the fruits ripens. To eat the coconut meat, the smooth outer shell & inner fibrous layers are removed. Now you have the fuzzy round shell commonly seen in a grocery store. Crack that third layer & you get the coconut meat!

In 1849, Ghirardelli received news of the gold strike at Sutter’s Mill and sailed to California. After doing some prospecting, Ghirardelli opened a general store in Stockton, California, offering supplies and confections to fellow miners. Ghirardelli's tent-based store was one of the first shops set up in the area. Several months later, Ghirardelli opened a second store on the corner of Broadway and Battery in San Francisco, which became, in 1850, his first establishment in that city. Domingo Ghirardelli had a general store in Hornitos, California, between 1856 and 1859 where he perfected his chocolate recipes. The remains of the store can still be seen in town. -wikipedia
