David, funny you should mention this, I went on twitter last night after not even signing on for months and I was wondering where the heck I was. I liked it because the art work I was sharing was all there and I still have some 4,000 plus followers. I need to update my profile and all that but I have changed the website to promote my shopify store there as well.
On my end it has been like that for at least the past month or so, and I hate it. I hate the squished design of the feed with the two huge sidebars on the right and the left. I also hate how the pictures are cropped to a small flat rectangle, which makes a lot of the posts look terrible. The only part of the new redesign that I do like is that it is much easier/faster to retweet now.
BTW thanks Dan for that tip! I followed the directions on Digg's page and it works! But I don't know if it will stay like that permanently or not. I will let you all know.
One thing that is disturbing; they don't date the tweets anymore, so it's much harder to figure when you tweeted last. I already go in and retweet my followers quite extensively; but, in the older format how far back date-wise was much easier.
I've had it for quite some time, and it hasn't grown on me yet. There are a couple of tweaks I like, but there are previous settings I prefer that I can't select as options. I went back to the old version, at least until they force me to have the update. :)
Tried Twitter again just now and shows no tweets, says in the right hand corner "Something went wrong, please try again" Ummm how many times do they expect me to keep trying before I give up and delete the whole thing, lol.
Mine is working fine, what I like most is the analytics give a very concise view of how my post are being engaged and it's all right there a click away. Maybe I like it because I paid little attention to the previous version and never got familiar with it to get attached to it.
Greetings David, I would bet Donald T seen it first, I would bet my social security check....lol, lol, lol, lol
I do not frequent the site as much as I should but since the launch of the billboard contest I had been visiting regularly. I preferred the original version, instead of going to your home page, the moment you sign in it goes to the new opening page, the moment you click on profile tab it does take you to the original header page, which appears in a smaller window.. it seems to have a generic look to it. It interferes with my favorites bar which is below the search engine tab on my lap top page.....I use windows 10 with google as my home page. I was thinking I could move the tab bar off to the right or left or bottom but not certain how to do it at the moment......
@ Western Exposure ... I'll have to take a look at that, thank you. Just switched computers (and OS) and tried again, found bupkis. 'Bout all I managed to do was annoy myself even more and write snarky comments on my own images addressed to @Twitter ... hahahah ... yeah, that'll make 'em sit up and take notice.
I just noticed something odd, when you click on a photo of a tweet I am always accustomed to click upper right to clear a screen or collapse a screen, they have the X on the left side. I am right handed now I have to slide cursor right to left...weird.....
... got Dan's hack to work on the new computer (Mojave OS) but the old one (Yosemite OS) .. nothing but spinning wheels ... waited at least 5 minutes with the occasional refresh ... the "more" button isn't activated either. Sigh ... well, half a sigh and half a Yay.
Hello Lois, well that is exciting news, the time being a half yay seems ok,,,,lets us know when you get a yay, yay.....
I just have to lol, lol, lol, lol.. has anyone noticed a tweet from Donald T. yet and what did he think, he probably did a somersault....lo, lol, lol...I think a congressional investigation is in order, come to think of it I have not noticed any news of his latest tweets, lol, lol, lol I consider them humorous, but more insulting IMO.....
