Pinterest Claim Website?

What does this mean exactly? Is it necessary? What is the point?

It verifies you as the website owner. To name a few reasons why you should do it.

You cannot do that here but you do not have to. Matthias has a thread all about it

You are claiming it, Pinterest is verifying it in a different manner by manually giving you an alphanumeric code to enter on your page. You can remove the code after they verify it.

Thanks, Abbie. I still don't understand how to do it.

Jessica,

I initially used the support link on the Pinterest for Business pages. Below is the email chain from myself to them that worked like a charm. The first reply or two may be automated so be persistent. This is where I was eventually helped out: support@pinterest-business.zendesk.com via the support link on Pinterest. Use verbiage similar to what I did below and you should be good. I pasted the code she gave me on the main page at the end of the About section.

Hi Don,

I have checked your website and was able to confirm your website, you're good to go! You now have access to website analytics. To check out your analytics, go to https://analytics.pinterest.com/. You can also access analytics from your account's drop-down menu. If you signed up for a business account within the past 7 days or haven't had much activity on your account, analytics might not show data yet. It might take up to two weeks for your data to populate.

Check out this help article for more info on Analytics. I also suggest reading this blog post on how to take action on insights from Pinterest Analytics.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you need anything else.
Regards

Jessica

Thank you,

You will see the code at the very bottom of the about section just above the footer.

Hi Don,

Thanks for writing in!

To claim website digitalartpros.com on your Pinterest account "photoartpros", temporarily add this tag to the source code anywhere on your website's homepage: 3477828b90340b7e68afdbf6b64c3588

Once you add the tag, email me to let me know, and I'll check your site's homepage for it. If it's there, I'll be able to confirm that you're the site owner and confirm your site for you. You can remove the tag after the verification is complete.

I look forward to hearing back from you!
Regards
Jessica

Hello,

I am unable to verify my domain digitalartpros.com so I need the manual code to insert on my page. I own the domain but I have it pointed to my Fine Art America/Pixels site. I can add text to the pages but I can not upload a new page or add code to the header.

Please forward me the text I can put on my page to claim my site. You have done this for other customers who have domains pointed to their FAA/Pixels sites.

Thank you kindly.

Regards,

-don
