Your One Piece Of Art That Touches You To The Core
We all have that one piece of work... the one that no matter how often we look at it, it takes us back to that moment and tugs on our heart strings. Sometimes it becomes our favorite because the memories are so touching. Sometimes the memories are haunting and we don't look at it for a long time. But if you were called upon to pick just one. Not two. Not three. But just ONE image that deeply touched you to the core for whatever reason what would it be?
I have three that quickly come to mind. But if I have to pick just one, this is it. It would be so lovely to see some others post theirs too! :) Please share. After all, this is the real reason we create in the first place, right?
I have quite a few I was excited about but here is one in particular: This was right after I got my new Sony Camera, I love wildlife photos and took this one at the zoo, Normally you can't get a good picture so I went around the exhibit that is off limits to the public,I hid and got this picture, My adrenaline was working overtime which added to the excitement, I did the same thing at another time and got a lot of good picture I never could have gotten otherwise,
Here is another one I got a few months later, I added the grass for a more African vibe,
This painting is about the contrast between achievement and dedication. The beauty surrounding major accomplishment can be earned through the application of desire, dedication, and determination to overcome the challenges and darkness faced in life.
I am sure this would be ok with Abbie who is not available at this very moment. ** When she steps back in she will decide **
She would say to please write a bit about your piece and state your reason why that particular image meant so much to you.
Twilight hour on an Autumn evening, a chill is in the air and the sun has set down. The White Birch trees adorned with white Twinkle lights.
This old barn …. a lot of good memories and time spent with old friends. Children growing up and birthday parties , Graduations & outdoor Weddings. And it couldn't have been more beautiful.
A new light has been shed on love for me after experiencing love and tragedy in 2018. A little while after a loved one passed away, I entered a print of this piece in an art exhibit in Main Event Gallery in Red Bluff, CA.
Lovely, thoughtful, thread, Jill. Thank You.......
I enjoyed the moment, again, to share this one.
It is so meaningful to me on so many levels...much/many
of which one can't always put into the Description...................
This was a venture into digitally re-designing a drawing, painting, now digital Art,
and.......an expression, at all its stages, of the care and love, as described/dedicated.
Another painting that is so special to me....Rainbow Clouds Full Spectrum.
I'm always a dreamer,a romantic, slightly spooky,lol...
As this lay drying, for further work, an enormous Rainbow appeared
through the studio louvre window, and shone across the
under painting in full spectrum.....a blessing I could not believe
or ignore.....imagine the moment !..SO,
I photographed it aglow.....named it.....and will always count my
blessings and Mother Nature ..........and the love that inspired
this artwork originally.....Cosmic ! ❤️
This piece was inspired by my Father-in-Law Arthur. He was 88 years old and he was witty and funny. He loved to tell stories about him growing up on a farm. His mother took care of the neighbor's horses. She taught Arthur to ride at a young age. He used to tell me stories about his adventures on horseback. Unfortunately, Arthur passed away in his sleep peacefully. This horse is dedicated in Arthur's memory.
The medium is colored pencil on paper.
