Anyone Getting Any Site Traffic Data Using A 3rd Party Web Counter

I've been using statcounter for over a decade on various active and not-defunct websites of mine. I am trying to put the coding to my fineartamerica page and it is not working. I would like to ask if ANYONE is using statcounter also, and how is it working with you. In the not-recent-past, I used statcounter to provide traffic data for my own websites which I created myself. In those days, there was nothing like FAA, weebly, geocities, etc. Because these days the site is already built and the client just adds their pixs, coding for web counter cannot be added. Back then, I did everything myself, uploading a new image, writing the code for what happens when a pix is clicked on, writing all the captions and whether the caption is centered , etc. You get the picture: everything you see at FAA, I did myself, up to and including the default image displayed size, and if clicked, does it open in a new window, what size is the window, etc etc etc. So, are you satisfied with the FAA stats on traffic to see your online images, or do you use a 3rd party web counter, and by what company/website? Is it free? Does it install correctly? I'd like to know because if statcounter continues to be a problem, I will switch. I know there was a statcounter discussion years ago, but nothing was established as working correctly, plus that discussion has been closed for some years. Thanks in advance for your input and suggestions!!

You are not going to get any significant stats using any third party counter. The owner of the site simply will not allow it.

The best you can do is use Google Analytics, but to me, that leaves an awful lot to be desired and is extremely difficult to set up just to glean some trivial information. Nothing that can be used for any significant marketing.

For seven years a lot of us have been asking for better stats. We used to be told they are coming. The never came. We are not even told that anymore. We are told to use GA. GA will give you some trivial information, but IMHO, nothing worth the effort it takes to get it.

GA is great and gives lots of information

You can have that on your premium site

Thanks @fasgallerycom @isabella-shores for your comments. I am at GA and have used it years ago. In fact, the site(s) they tracked are all gone now, and returning to GA after almost a decade away, I find that it is even more complex and confusing than before. I tried to set it up for FAA and got hopelessly lost. So much has changed the only thing I probably got correct was creating a new GA number and putting it in. But that isn't enough, and I get NO data at all. Of course I am not referring to FAA but other sites I have, plus what I have here is not paid so I cannot do that.
