Password Protected Collection Seen By Public

I have a collection that is password protected. Yet someone without the password has viewed one of the images in that protected collection. WHY?

Did you upload the image directly into your Password protected collection? Or did you put it there later?

I did put it there later. Does that matter?

Yes it matters because that image was once public

Once public, always public?

I mean it was probably viewed before. How many views does it have? And an image was was once public if only for a minute can be found

I can understand someone from the public being able to view the image before I pw protected the collection, but even after that image is placed into the protected collection?

Did you look at the views before you put in the PP Collection? As I wrote above, if it has been public if only for a brief time it can be found on FAA a while longer.

I did. There was a view or two. Days after I placed it into the pw protected collection it was viewed. At this point I am leery of any security in protected collections.

However even if that thumbnail image is clicked on it won't show to the public. It will show it is PP

When I check Behind the Scenes and my visitors and comments the image was viewed in the last few days by someone in the public domain. Visitor from NY, NY on 02/12/2020 at 11:03 PM to be exact.

Did it sell, or did you order a print? If so, it's possible that's Quality Assurance reviewing the image for printability.

Damyon Verbo

It did not sell. Only viewed.

This collection I pw protected was only for the family of the portraits to view. With this ability of the public to view these images I have deleted all the images in that collection as well as the collection. I am disturbed by this privacy invasion.

If a family member viewed it maybe that counts? But you would know were the views are coming from.

48 hours between you adding it from public to private

That's just the way the site works unfortunately

I'm really having a go at the owner right now about our cache. It may even lose me my job as I'm so angry about the situation and I'm not one to kowtow to people

I have uploaded images directly to my PP gallery and I get email notification with comments on them! I upload images to PP for testing so the title is a set of numbers. The test images are then deleted and still...

are you sure your own views aren't counting? you can turn that off in the views section. every time you view it it may increase.

abbie you should be mad, all the heat falls into your lap when the site breaks down, which seems to happen in higher frequencies as of late.
