A fabulous time of day with all sorts of terminology - dawn, dusk, twilight, sunrise, sunset, blue hour and golden hour (and likely a few other terms). This truly is a "magical" time for photographers.
@ Tatiana - Here is a quote from a photo blog I found: "The transition between day and night is called 'twilight'. Just before sunset it starts with the golden hour and moves from the blue hour towards the night." The sequence is reversed, of course, in the morning. The term "twilight" is often replaced with dawn and dusk, depending on the time of day. I often enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch at dawn and a quality bourbon at dusk.
Thank you Bill. So, it is basically the same thing with different ways of naming it.
However, when I was at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, I arrived just a little too late (I thought), and the sun set already a minute (or few seconds) before... Oh, how disappointed I was :) My husband said however not to lose hope and wait a little... I listened to him with not too much hope though. Then the miracle happened! The light with it's fabulous colors came from down bellow the horizon, and this is what I saw:
