Add Custom Function To Artist Website

How do I go about adding a "Custom" function such as a Cart as mentioned in (but not explained) one of the discussion threads (that I can't seem to snip and copy here).

Thanks!

Your artist website should have the cart already built-in.

Wendy,

As Jeffrey is saying, the AW is a shopping cart.

You will need to login and decide how you want the AW configured for visual display.

You login as an artist/photographer. Not as a buyer.

Yes, I am logged in as artist. I see customization for colors, fonts, etc. Not for placement or adding HTML, that sort of thing.

I believe she's referring to the shopping cart widget that you can add to your own website (not FAA / Pixels) that will link to pixels. Or maybe I am wrong, IDK....

I tried awhile back and it didn't work, but I am pretty certain it's because I don't have a paid site and I am using a free platform (on Wix). If I upgraded to the annual fee one, I think it would work.

That's about all the help I can be, sorry.

You can add some html in places you would add lettering...ie the announcement bar, the about, the subtitles......

adding, I have a play store app and a Google Forms for special offers.....

Thanks for the replies. I am on my Artist Website, not using the cart snippet on my own website. The original post I saw was about how there is a "Sign In" button at the top right hand of the screen, whether mobile or website that looks like where a potential customer would sign in. But it's not. It is out own sign in place. So I was hoping to move it to somewhere else so it doesn't confuse customers.

On the AW, the buyer sign in comes before the artist sign in.

That was a change about a year ago, so the clients could come first.

At some point we have to trust those who would buy from us make the effort.

The owner of the site, Sean, is quite expert at making the AW set up.

I checked out your site David. I like the look! I am trying to spruce mine up. Not sure what you mean by play store app and Google forms?

Scroll to the bottom of my about or bio section. Using html I have added those two items.

We absolutely can not get into the source code.

Ahhh, okay. Looks like the "Sign In" isn't an issue any more then. Yay! One less thing to worry about today....

Ohhhhhh, now I see them. Wow, okay. So you added HTML in sections that have text, but otherwise, no can do. I see some people have a "Contact Me" page....I tried to write that code into the header but it gave me an error message. Not sure what the issue was.

Those folks are using the AW contact form, and putting in an href where they want it.

From your footer.

adding the html is limited, a p b etc...but not all of the possible html starters. I am not trained in html.

Oh, I didn't know what you meant by footer. Thanks for the link. So it is there on the page already.

I'll play around with the HTML a little more and see if I can get it to work. If not, doesn't have to be up top.

Appreciate the help and feedback from everyone! It stinks to be flopping around on your own and feeling frustrated. Grateful for the quick replies. I want to get the site set up nice and then go back to making art, right?!

a href='http://wendysmithart.com/contact.html' target='_blank' rel='nofollow' style='font: 10pt arial; text-decoration: underline;'>http://wendysmithart.com/contact.html /a

Wendy,

This is your contact page. The beginning a needs < in front of it, as you know. The ending /a needs the arrows as well. Two of them, as you know.

After the > in the line above you can simply take out your site domain name, and put in Contact Me. Or however you would phrase it for reading by the public.

Here is mine. I'm using only 1 slide as a banner. It's a custom slide not a template. You can make your own and upload it.
