Abbie, does it take a while to show up. I just did the bulk edit, but on my premium site, I don't see them. It is showing up in Pixels.com though.

Thanks!

What are (will they be) under? I looked in Lifestyle on my pixels site and didn't see them. I'm thinking it may take up to 24 hours for them to show?

oops - typing at same time as Janet Marie. But as she was asking about the premium site and I'm asking about pixels, I'll let my question stand (even though I'm sure the answer to both will be the same).

And now I see Abbie's answer. Thanks . . . I missed that.

Thanks, Abbie! :-)

Just some words of advice for all that promote their art on Pinterest: Do. NOT! Pin. Them. All. At. Once.

Your account may be flagged or even suspended because of 'spammy behavior'.

Do what you did before. If you pin 10 things per day, go to 12 or 15 for the next days. Not to 200 :-)

I'd be inclined to recommend people not bulk edit unless all their images are the ratio in size that work with the dimensions given for the puzzles. I have many that would work, but I also have many, such as long skinny designs and square designs, that don't really work on the puzzles.

For myself I'm going to take my time and carefully choose designs that will work really well for the puzzle, both in image and in size.

Just wanted to throw that out there.

Great News! Thanks FAA

Dora Hathazi Mendes

its great, thank you!

Abbie, they are never going to be on FAA only on PX and AW? Just because for me puzzles (when they are ready) more wall art, than pillow or a shower curtain or duvet etc, which are available on FAA dropdown menu.

also an observation, on vertical images, when the title is too long it is cut on the box shorter which sometimes is clumsy..
for instance:

Obidos The Charming Medieval Village - cut into Obidos the Charming Medieval
Porto Douro River and Rabelo Boats - cut into Porto Douro River and Rabelo

(ps I can live with it, just saying :)

Thank you Sean!

Abbie Shores

You need to have shorter names then LOL No, sorry, I will be serious, titles should never be long.... for links. Links should really never be over 20 characters extra, along with the domain. That is not law and it is up to you. Just an observation from years of working with Google. If they are too long though I would consider shortening them

But that is by the by..... these are definitely NOT a fine art product. They come under toys on most sites.

Dora Hathazi Mendes

Recommended mark up is 2.50.. Just curious how much will you add? No idea now how much puzzles cost normally

Abbie Shores

I added 3 but I may go to 5... who knows. They are still cheaper than some I have seen. and these are far superior quality

Dora Hathazi Mendes

I have always trouble with titles, like I painted at least 4 times about Porto, or Obidos and is difficult to come up with different names to the same places, so they are getting longer, first just the name of the place then adding this and that.. but I will be careful in the future, thank you!

Dora Hathazi Mendes

ups I added 10 and 12 :D, but I wont share them yet, need to adjust the vertical ones first, where my signature is cut. Till then I will see what others say. Maybe I am exaggerating, but I also like to play a lot with discounts, and with Christmas promos of FAA it will anyway happen for sure, so when the profit cut into half, I would like still to get something :D

Fabulous! Just added them to my store - thank you for posting about it, Abbie!

YaY!

Looks like shipping is $15 (to where I live - don't know where they are produced) - but up to 6 will ship for that fee. Over 6 the shipping goes up to $50. Makes sense - not bad.

This is good news. I have always thought that puzzles are a very interesting product, something very desirable to give as a gift.

Thank you!

This is great, but the base price seems very expensive to me! I just looked on-line and see many puzzles at about $19.99

Joy McKenzie

Thanks, my peeps, for all that good info :) I also will pick and choose the best images for puzzles.

Wondering about my kaleidoscopes and mandalas.... are they good for puzzles, or too nerve wracking because of their uniformity?

I just added mine in default and bulk. I had remove some of my images that had text on them because the text was too close to the edge. I am happy that the portrait images are in portrait form on the puzzles. Thanks for the new product!

Abbie after I did a bulk edit, I sold a puzzle from a 2400 px x 2400 px image. Can you please find out if square images of that size will be automatically "stretched" / whatever to fit the puzzle template and still have a crisp appearance like the original image?

Abedalrahman Samara

Very nice , thank you

Lindley Johnson

Susan - I took a look at one of my square images, and it looks to me like it's cropped to fit the rectangular shape, not stretched.

I just did the same. Cropped, not stretched, is much better in "my" opinion.

Abbie Shores:
"Ok here is just one reason why

Two sites

Pixels. People click on a jigsaw collection and all is good. They buy a puzzle and leave
FAA. People click on a jigsaw collection and all is bad because we do not sell them on FAA!!

So you are leaving half your visitors angry and annoyed at 'click bait'

If people are so eager to show off their products, just use your SHOP as your homepage"

Oops, I did create product collections a long time ago when it was more difficult to track things down to change prices. I've thought about getting rid of those and after reading this I guess I had better do that.

Abbie Shores

We never stretch, only crop

Susan Wiedmann

Abbie, Lindley and Bill: are your square images 2400 px on both sides like mine? The puzzles are 3700 x 2600. I don't see how cropping (eliminating pixels) a 2400 px square image will help fit those images into the puzzle rectangle.

Susan, here is a 2400x2400px image - with link to the puzzle display where it crops and fills the puzzle - even on the 1000 piece puzzle.

Hi Abbie,

I used the bulk uploader to add puzzles to my images, but when I search for puzzles on my page, none are found. Does that mean that none are the right dimensions, or am I not searching the right way?

Thanks,

So I have to log on to Pixels.com and create an entirely separate profile; or do I already have a Pixels profile automatically generated by what I've uploaded on FAA?

I'm asking because I can't see Pixels or any portal to that anywhere on my FAA login page.

NO PREMIUM ACCOUNT

For just household goods and prints, i.e. fine art, your profile is https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/2-robert-bentley

If however you wish to sell all the products including t-shorts and phones, use https://pixels.com/profiles/2-robert-bentley

PREMIUM ACCOUNT

A premium account would be https://2-robert-bentley.pixels.com and that would be the one you need to market as the only artist on it is yourself

Just log in using the same details on all the sites

If licensing images, see https://licensingpixels.com/profiles/2-robert-bentley.html

Those sites are the same database of images and pricing but may take a few hours to update to the one you do not load to. It is just that Pixels has more products on it

You just decide which site you prefer and wish to share

Is there a code to get the 25% discount on puzzles that ends today 11/21 at midnight Eastern time? The email offer is missing the code and all links go to standard pricing.

Abbie Shores

Puzzle sale ended Friday night

Steven Poe

That's an unfortunate marketing mistake. Hope they don't get too many angry replies for the email blast - "Ends November 21st at MIdnight Eastern U.S. Time"

Janet Marie

I thought of that too, Steven, with the lifestyle products, forgetting it included the puzzles. I mentioned it in the daily promotion announcement thread, asking whether that was a mistake or not. I did not get an answer, and hopefully no upset customers who received that email. Hadn’t heard, so probably is okay. Errors can happen. It did say TODAY ONLY in the subject line.

I am just appreciative of all the discounts that have been generated, grateful to Sean and the tireless work of Abbie.

I head from an artist the when the puzzle box is opened there is a horrible chemical smell! UGH!

Abbie Shores

I didn't smell one and my sense of smell is good

Janet Marie

I am chemical sensitive, hence I would notice. Perhaps it may just need to air out, to outgas the product ingredients. If put in the box immediately, could trap the smell. Hopefully that is just a one time thing. I have to air out lots of new purchases. Thank you for sharing. It’s good to be informed.

Lindley Johnson

I love my high quality puzzle! There was no chemical smell, and I am sensitive to smells.

This may be useful info for some.

I have read certain info from the discussions that the puzzle does not contain information inside the box size of puzzle care instructions etc. And the image on the box maybe cropped.

So just a simple thought that may help some.

Myself i like to have a reference photo of the image of the puzzle I am doing,

And just incase the image on the box is cropped slightly different, it is a good idea to take a photo of the puzzle picture you are purchasing ( screen shot of the image and of the information of size of the puzzle and care instructions etc).
And print them up and stick the info in the box for reference when needed.

My unfortunate husband had to tell me he has purchased me a puzzle as he let me know it may not be here for Christmas (fantastic i wanted a puzzle and luckily he ordered it on the sales day of puzzles ).hopefully here for Christmas.

I am naughty i got it out of him which image it was as I was excited .

So I have prepared a photo of the full image and a print out of the puzzle size, and care instructions, to put in the box, for my useful reference.

Angela
