Canvas Print Stretched The Wrong Way

I ordered my prints on Nov 19 2020. I left for Mexico on November 26, 2020. I still had not received my order. WE got home from vacation December 23, 2020. I opened my box of 2 canvas wrapped prints. One of the prints was put on wrong..Instead of lengthwise it was put on width wise and is very distorted. The hanger was put on lengthwise also. Here is a pic of the print. It is not correct, look at the correct print, it is "Sorrow" from Michael Tolleson. I am afraid that since the 30 days is up, I will not get this resolved. I just want a replacement. Will they bend this 30 day rule?? Thanks

Abbie said that return dates were being extended because of Christmas. I don't know how long the extension is, but they should take care of this. Contact them ASAP.

You are better putting in a support ticket ads telephone support do not have the authority to stretch anything (pun not intended)

i guess it was super busy in the canvas dept, and they had a Stigmatism? i wonder how they had enough material to stretch it that way?

Thanks all. I did call customer service on Dec 23, 2020. The lady said someone would get with me in 24 to 48 hours.. Well its Dec 27 today and I havent received anything via email or phone. PS Mike..there is an elbow on the one side of the canvas that shouldnt be there.. weird for sure. I did put in a support ticket also. I don't think the lady on the phone undestood my problem with the print. I am glad I could down load it and show all of you. I also sent pic via the support ticket. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some resolution. Thanks.

And when you put in a ticket be sure to upload your photo of the canvas to show them

i'm just shocked it didn't rip. that's usually the first clue its too small on one side. i'm sure now that the holiday rush is passed a bit, they'll take care of.

I would say that the image was stretched, not the canvas.

Nobody is getting back to me on this print that was made the wrong way. I am getting a little upset. Seems I always have to change my password everytime I come on this webpage. I got one email and sent them a pic of the pic and receipt. No one has gotten back to me since.

The system might have been on landscape setting for cropping.

People!! People!! I just got my replacement print and it is still wrong..Exactly like the other one..WTH??
Sorry Abbie Shores it is not dealt with.. Grrrrrrrrr I resent everything AGAIN!!!
The hangar was put on so the print hangs longwise..does that count? Not only is my print named "Sorrow" I am having quite a bit of "sorrow" dealing with this.
And everytime I come on this site I have to change my password.
HELP !!! PLEASE!!

I am a fan of the arts and would order more if I knew the pieces would be correct because the customer service here is terrible.

Chris,

You certainly have a way with words.

Just a hunch check your settings for landscape after you set up your image selection.

Landscape is not supposed to be selected in your case.

i wonder if something is wrong with that file. but i can't imagine what other than some weird format issue. like i wonder if the printer see's the graphic on a screen vs what comes out, because this really sounds like a file issue more than a new stretching method.

Yes David,
There was no way to choose landscape setting or portrait when I ordered. It is very distorted too, compared with the actual print..It is on the top of this discussion posted by David Dehner. That is the print I was expecting, Funny thing the hanger was put on so that it should hang lengthways, but the print is width wise..You think someone would notice that? I bet it is the file. Thanks for the discussion, I am frustrated.

It has to be a damaged file.

You can't physically stretch a canvas like that.

though one would wonder why the printer didn't say anything after it was made. that kind of bugs me. it makes me wonder if the printer should have another quality check, does the picture match the thing printed. i would think that would be the first thing i would check.

now you'll have to buy a fun house mirror with the right curves to make the painting look proper.

Chris,

It is not all the noticeable. There is a landscape setting.

Chris,

See the word "horizontal"? It should read "natural" for what you want.

Chris

I have just gone through your orders and all looked right. However, after a bit of digging, I see what the issue is and this is both artist issue and ours.

The artist had uploaded the image rotated, on its side.

We showed the righted image. However the image we print is always the full res image the artists loads

So although you were seeing the perfect image, that is not what we saw. We see the horizontal image instead so that is what is printed, and would be again if purchased.

We are informing the artist to load a correctly rotated work.

I do not truthfully understand how this happened as we always make artists rotate before loading. I am refunding you in full now

i don't get how that worked though, because i've never seen a properly rotated image. usually if its sideways then that's how it is. i wonder if we should tell the printers to double check the actual image.
