Wish I could but I just don't have time to crank out work that fast. Good luck to everyone!

That is a huge challenge umm 100 days! That would kick my bum. Could they be wee little paintings like 3x4 or 5x7? hehe
I might be able to do 30 days ..I don't know.
Good luck to everyone!!
I will be happy to watch for 100 days.

Actually, I do plan to upload a photograph a day for 100 days - but that would be on an average. During the course of this year my goal is to upload 365, or more, pieces. I already have 60 since the first of the year.

Tony,
What else can we add to the heap?

Wowzer. Good luck!!! I did a 30-day photography ... just photography! ... challenge a couple of years back. (It was a facebook thingie, not here). I think I'm still out of breath from that one!!!!

o.k so "size doesn't matter" Lisa said. right?
Does medium, Wc, acrylics, etc.?
edit: Will we post them every day?

I accept the challenge, tough as it will be. (I mean, 100 days?????)
Thank you, Lisa and Abbie. I've been struggling to get back my enthusiasm for painting since last year after my sweet dog died. Benji was my shadow and my painting "buddy". He was always in his bed by my feet as I sat at my table and painted. I've had a mental block since. I vowed this New Year I'd make myself get back to painting, but here it is, the 24th, and nothing!
This challenge is just what I need to get back in the saddle, so to speak.

Oh! Donna! I'm so sorry to read that. I don't know what I'll do when my two have gone. HUGS
I'm SO glad you're coming in the journey with me!!
Bill... Any media. She just said painting. You can use soup if you want
Edit... Yes, we have to for them to count

Not I - not a painter but so wish I was!
Just to say I will enjoy following you all and I saw something about an artist who paints on teabags recently. Found this video (not the artist I found originally, but gives you the idea). So size doesn't have to matter at all :)

Look around for "instructions" - how to prepare the bags, etc.

Donna. Sorry I didn't realize the effect Benji's passing had on you, even tho you mentioned him to me. i really do understand the pain.
I"m A little choaked up right now, as I have called Rubio my "Buddy" almost from the day we got him ;O(
THANKS Abbie I'm IN. When does the 100 days start?
Bill

Thank you, Bill! That's sweet you call Rubio your "buddy" too! I actually called Benji my "little buddy". I used to like how the Skipper called Gilligan that. Sounded so sweet.
Oh yes... Benji's unexpected passing just about did me in. He was such a big part of my life (and heart).
I have been busy dusting off my work space, and I tidied up my paint brushes and went over my pathetically low inventory of paint, to see what I need to purchase. I'm so looking forward to this challenge!
Glad you are joining in! Good for you!

Well ok, I must go to doctor on 27th, maybe be there for few days, but if digital works count, I can do 10 a day for 100 days, I do it anyway, all the time.
But they a lot of look a like, very similar, Im afraid they could be interesting only for me, I would like to meet the challenge, but if my work start to be boring, tell me to stop.

This is probably W-A-A-A-A-A-Y too ambitious for me, but ... I've been wanted to try my hand at painting and just started working with watercolors, hoping that with practice I will be able to have reasonable success. If it's okay that a newbie painter participates, ... I'm in.
Just to be clear, we'll need to scan or take a picture or our work each day and then upload it to this thread?

Sorry to hear, Carlin! Between you and Abbie's reaction I'm kind of not looking forward to getting the vaccine.
Actually Carlin, one other person and I are the ONLY people I know who had any reaction at all. I know so many who had it and have nothing
It is only like flu. and I am a baby
Carlin, I'm sorry to hear about your reaction to the 2nd dose. My heart goes out to you.
I had my first dose just over a week ago (I think during the same week as you, Abbie). Got my shot in the morning (was virtually painless), no flu-like symptoms and I did not feel sick at all but did feel super tired all day so I spent most of the day in bed and slept a lot. I've got my fingers crossed that the second dose, in about two weeks, will be no worse.

Val, I finally figured out how to sign into Pixels (something wasn't working before if I just clicked on your images), so I went to throw some love around but...where did your 100 Day Challenge collection go? I could've sworn I saw that you had one up front and center but now I don't see one.
Sounds like I'll be waiting months before getting a vaccine here in Canada.
My wife and had our second shot. We had some minor chills and slept in the afternoon but other than that not bad. I have herd from some Doctors that it’s when you have some more systems that it’s your immune system doing it’s job and when you don’t ...well they didn’t really go into that a lot .

Thanks all, I'm all better today & did my routine morning hike.
I had zero reaction to 1st dose.
Other than having aches, chills, nausea & fatigue with 2nd dose, it was actually a treat to laze around in bed all day & ignore my Fitbit prods to move :)
I'll gladly accept a short vaccine caused downtime over getting COVID.
Aren't we all looking forward to getting off of lockdown!

Day 33
A long, but fun portrait of Georgia O'Keefe!

Patiently waiting my turn to get the vaccine... : )
Really looking forward to being able to get out of the house!

Where did the years go? I drew some pencil drawings for my daughter nearly 30 years ago and today I painted my version of one of these drawings for the challenge. My daughter is 35 now. Working on today's painting brought back happy memories of when my daughter was little, but gosh, where did all those years go?? Seems like yesterday I was home with her and making dolls for her and playing with her.
sigh...
Wish I could go back in time for just one day.

Carlin, you have a really good immune system. I have a pharmacist friend and she says that a healthy immune system reacts to the shot. Glad you got vaccinated.
Donna, it's scary how fast our lives come and go.
Checking out your Georgia O'Keefe portrait, Robert.

Peggy - I deleted that whole gallery - too stressful to see it. I put everything in whatever other place they belonged.
Carlin - Sorry you were feeling poorly.
Abbie - I messed up put 32 on yesterdays piece - I fixed it to 33 so todays is 34.
Today did a minimalistic abstract in black and white. These are some of my favorites. I think I gravitate to this style when my life is more in turmoil than when things are running smoothly. I think it might be the sense of order I like when my life is lacking that.
It is funny what this challenge is teaching me - surprisingly sometimes less to do with art.

Val, I agree 100%. I'm finding this whole process kind of fascinating. Although I've been self-employed for decades and I'm used to motivating myself, the challenge is giving me some additional much-needed structure to my days so I don't lay around moping because of our current restrictions due to the pandemic. The challenge is definitely helping me get through this winter with at least most of my mind intact.

Donna you almost brought tears to my eyes...they still may come. Watching children grow makes time speed by!
I have old photos of my 2 sons pop up as screen savers on my computer, so I get to see them as little boys every day.
I'm relieved they are young/middle age successful men now, but oh what I would give to be able to re-visit select days/times in the past :)
@Abbie, why do you not photograph your sketches for prints? They are very print worthy art!!
@ Tony - not sure what you mean but you need to post your work in the participants' thread that is stickied at the top of the forum.

Hi Carlin... They are just sketches... Not sure they are worthy of pricing .. Thank you.. I'm going to have to think now!
James McCormack now has a new one up

Weekend means acrylic pouring time (since I started this challenge). As much as I love my new hobby, fluid art is quite a waste of paint. It not only pours onto the canvas but also from the canvas into my 'pouring bowl'.
After spending some time on YouTube I had an idea. This is what I made of some of the leftover paint:
Fashion Jewelry for my wife in different colors :-) She was a bit skeptical when she watched me cluttering the living room while doing my thing but now that she has her personal Jewelry designer... LOL

Cool, Matthias! They're very pretty. If you wanted another project, I'll bet you could easily sell your jewelry on Etsy.

Day 34
My portrait of Andy Warhol
To me, the most inspirational things about Warhol are his creativity and ability to market his work to the point where he became known around the world.
Pop art, eye catching design and color.
My 100 day challenge collection is the first one you will find on my site. All entries are there if you are interested.
Comments are welcome!

Matthias that is awesome for the environment!! Kudos!
That was a big issue I had with acrylic pours is that there is too much waste. So glad you found a beautiful way to use it & they are certain to sell :)
@Abbie, I hope you reconsider. I value sketches as much or more than traditional art, certainly there are others that do also.
Day 34 -Beach Palapa - I've been meaning to add digital watercolor to my gallery & it's wonderfully less time consuming!

Carmen, I had to smile...I Love your challenge get today of “ Let your Spirits soar”. We seem to be riding a similar moon beam. All of your work is amazing! Loving this challenge!

Tony, thank you! What a great pun, too. :) I think we've all been living in a fishbowl for the last year, stuck inside looking out and unable to go anywhere!

Peggy, Carlin, and Rose: thank you so much for your encouraging comments!
They were fun to make, and I loved seeing my wife selecting one of the pieces to complement her outfit for today :-)
Any ideas on how I could price them -- if I decide to create some for sale? Not sure about Etsy, but I have a neglected Shopify store where I could sell jewelry.
Made it to DAY 35!
Worked from a detail of Sandro Botticelli's The Virgin and Child, aka Madonna and the Book
So much fun to work in a loose, abstract style when creating a portrait!
------
Abbie, even if you aren't pricing them, consider creating a collection of your sketches. You can always password protect it if you want to keep it to yourself. It will be good to see your body of work after the challenge is over! : )

Laurel — lovin' our moonbeam, we definitely have that 'ticket to ride' ;) Ditto, re: your kudos — my thanks reciprocated + + + 😘
Matthias — fantastic use of acrylic pour. Thought at first your cabuchons were resin topped, then realized they (cabuchon setting) may have glass lids.
Either way, they're gorgeous, luxurious creations!
Re: pricing -- a search on Acrylic Pour Jewellery on Etsy results in prices on average $10-25. USD + shipping.

Matthias, you could also sell them on Handmade at Amazon but my experience is, one-of-a-kind items don't sell as well there as they do on Etsy. I used to have an Etsy jewelry shop and it did really well. Handmade at Amazon sellers do better if they can reproduce something over and over again. Off the top of my head, I'd price them at U$25-$30.
BTW, I think an Etsy shop selling both original acrylic pours and jewelry would be successful. :-)
