I'll offer to post up (again) a Free Shipping option request. I am willing to pay for shipping out of my markup because I believe (a'la Amazon) that Free Shipping helps convert sales.
I realize it must be opt-in only and may be difficult to administer on the main sites. Some artists offer Free Shipping and some do not - would not provide a good customer experience. However, it could be implemented and could work on the premium sites.
Or not...I'm quite happy with all that FAA offers as it currently exists.
I know that HTML links led to spamming and such, but was wondering if it would be possible to create a way to link only within our own site. Such as: linking from image to image (related images) or collection to collection. I know we can add links in the header on our site, but other locations (within the same site) would be helpful.
You should change your payment processor for premium membership Ridiculous that for 10 years (I have read discussion occuring for 10 years with artists complaining about this issue) you have people that want to be premium members to upload more than 25 pieces but can't because for some unknown reason; even to you Abbie, that they can't upgrade their membership. This is no doubt costing FAA thousands of dollars a year in lost membership fees, and a lot more in potential sales of art, that these people cannot bring because they cannot upgrade and upload more works. You accept PayPal for artwork , so their is no reason you cant set up recurring payment for premium members through Paypal too. It would literally take minutes to set up. I know this because I have been in online business for nearly 15 years and have done this myself for various sites in the network I operate.
It would be great if we could change between £ and $ when pricing up our goods. I like to keep some sort of parity with my peers but end up changing the price 3 times to get to see what I want in pounds when I'm pricing my mark-up in dollars. Unless I'm missing something??
I’m sure this has been suggested before, but it would be awesome if each of the products could have more mock up designs. I buy a lot of stuff online and I like to see at least 4 or 5 photos of a product. It always catches my attention when I see a product actually “in use” on a model, like if a model is wearing a t-shirt with the design on it. I know some of the products already have mock up designs, but I think more would really help buyers see how our art looks on the products offered.
I'd like to suggest to give premium members the option to change the byline of our premium site from 'Official Website' to whatever we want.
This has been addressed in several threads over the last years, for several reasons. Some would just simply prefer a different byline - like XY Photography, XY Fine Art etc. - but for members who don't use their AW as their official website (like me...) this byline showing in Google search results is misleading and can cause confusion for people searching for our name.
This option could be added very easily, requires minimal coding. Thank you.
My suggestion is that y'all turn off ALL the image threads at the end of a month. Start new ones. I think it would also be more invigorating if an image thread reached the"BIG SKIP" to shut it down. No, it's not April 1st.
Have recently heard pixels.com ads on radio, and they sound great. But, they would be even greater if Fine Art America were mentioned. I came onto Fine Art America largely because I had heard quite a bit, and seen quite a bit (on Pinterest mostly) about the company, which prompted me to do research. Is any tie in planned for future ads? Name recognition is a key to any advertising.
My non sequitor is that I noticed that I have 404 images uploaded, so I had better upload another one quick, or I won’t get found.
The Search/ Algorithm what ever you want to call it really could use an update. Example, I just went through 17 pages of Pelicans and not one of mine was there. Not only do I have quite a few, but a collection named Pelicans. I know my keywords and descriptions that is not it. This is not the first time I have searched for one of my images only to never find it without actually going to my profile.
Can people be notified when they make a comment and then you REPLY to their comment? I often get customers who leave a comment asking for commission work, licensing or coupons. I reply and of course it is there publicly for them to see, but I never ever hear from anyone again when they comment and I reply. So I assume they have no way of knowing I replied and they don't come back to that particular image they commented on to see it. It would be nice if they can know when we reply to them.
Mary Lee....You can claim your site on Pinterest. Just write them and let them know that you can't add HTML tags to your site's code buy you could put any text they suggest on he "About me" section of your site and they could use that to verify the site is yours.
Would it be possible to disable the use of discount codes when a customer gets a 20% discount during a site-wide sale? Or, as they sale in retail, "discount cannot be combined with other offers." Currently the discount codes can be applied during site wide sales.
I always direct buyers to my premium site, however several people have mentioned that they've seen my work for 20% off at FAA. This makes it difficult to offer discount codes when customers can get two discounts at once.
On a related note, I noticed the 20% off site-wide sales apply to password-protected galleries. Hopefully that is a glitch. Since password-protected images aren't searchable & are usually custom projects, it seems unusual to offer sales prices for those.
can we get rid of the print/poster category and just call it prints? add the keyword posters. it keeps confusing people and buyers. i had one today ask me the difference between the two. which meant it created a hesitancy meaning that they were possibly ready to buy it but that is what stopped them. poster also feels like it should be a lot cheaper.
and there are two categories that are identical there. ideally i would rather have a new print option, but for now can it be condensed into just one single less confusing category?
I would love to have the option to select multiple, random images (example: click select images 5, 7, 22, 39, then click remove) from a group features home page (different than select all) and remove them together, instead of currently having to select one, remove, select the second one, remove, select the third one, remove, etc. Please consider adding things that would shorten the time required for the group admin volunteers. Thank you!
It would be handy if we could search for NOT - such as all my images that do not have a certain word in the description or keyword box. Then make the results editable. My thought is to make it easier to update descriptions and keywords. The more I learn about how important these are for SEO, the more I find I need to go back and fix/add/change things. Thanks for all your work on this site!
