Followers Or Visitors !?

Do you know that even if you have more visitors than followers and then you ask yourself, so many people have visited my site, but only a few follow me.I sometimes ask myself what is more important to achieve success here.

do you ask yourselves that too?
and what do you think is more important?

I am happy to tell me your personal FAA story, I am very curious when it really worked out for you (selling) and / or when you are still there. 🙂

I'm pretty new to the site but I do know that in the marketing world, you go by percentages. So if you reached x number of people with your advertisement or marketing piece and you get a certain percentage of sales or followers or whatever out of it, then you consider it successful. The percentage is usually pretty low because you generally need to reach a lot of eyes to get a few follow throughs. In my case, I've had 279 visitors and have 34 followers (which I've worked pretty diligently to get over the past few weeks!). That's about 12% which I consider to be pretty good! I think it will take a while in any case to start making sales but I guess we'll just have to see.

Followers are actual humans who clicked the button that indicates that they like your work. Visitors can be that too, but many of them are also bots, indexing content for search engines or people who are casually browsing and happened to peek at your image.

Followers are mostly other artists and, for the most part, not the people that will buy your work. It's just the social aspect of the site. Someone has to set up an account to follow you. Most shoppers won't do that, although I have a couple.

You want views...both Bots to get you listed in the search engines and real people.

just because they view doesn't mean they follow. and just because they follow doesn't mean they didn't look at everything twice. and you can't have more followers than views that would be impossible unless you erased stuff or reset the counter.

what is important is sales. followers help in the search but if one of them is a buyer that is a good thing.

but, with only 1200 views for 8 months over 50 images - that is a very low number. you want views because people have seen the work.

what is most important is to have a concise body of work with a consistent style or set of styles and not one of each or making them look random. you need descriptions and more keywords. you can't have titles that repeat, it messes up the site. further, just calling something beautiful isn't much of a title. then not having any description or keywords means no one will ever find it.

Buy Art Online
like this has nothing that will bring people in, and it looks enlarged so it may not print.

from there keeping the store organized is important too. you need collections set up or its confusing to look through.

basically the work is important and from there the advertising. the views only tell me that you aren't attracting people but maybe bots.

Nomi you can thank people in one post! Otherwise it will be a long thread and we don't want to scroll so much. ;)
