Per Abbie's instructions: All work must be started and finished between the morning and evening of the day you add it
Painters may photograph or scan but I suggest sketches. Faster, helps practice speed sketching.
Photographers must take the photo that day, or have edited it from scratch that day.
So all work you upload a day must have been started, and finished, in that day.

https://fineartamerica.com/featured/portrait-of-eurasian-blue-tit-bird-karen-kaspar.html
These Eurasian Blue tits - Cyanistes caeruleus - are common visitors in my garden. In winter I had the pleasure to watch these cute little birds at the bird feeder enjoing sunflower seeds. In the spring and summer garden they prefer insects and spiders for their diet. The bird in this acrylic portrait painting is sitting on a branch in a green bush.

Day 02 of 30
'Unexpected Invitation' drawing by James McCormack, Artist
9 in a series
"That's him!" exclaimed Mac. His eyes narrowed "Is this why they call you The Artist?"
"One reason", said the Artist "There are..."
The dame whispered fiercely, interrupting "At the door, don't look, it's him!"
"Darling" said the Artist "He hasn't seen us yet. Stand up, go to meet him".
""Why?"
"Invite him to join us", replied the Artist "He won't kill me with witnesses".

Day 3 - Golden bird of Fantasy acrylic painting.
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/golden-bird-of-fantasy-karen-kaspar.html
The inspiration for this abstracted acrylic painting of a Golden bird of Fantasy was a photograph I took weeks ago of a Greater Titmouse bird sitting in a bush in my garden in spring. I liked the pose of the bird, but was in the mood for something more colorful today. So I decided to have some fun and - here is my Golden bird of Fantasy.

'Uncomfortable Company' drawing by James McCormack, Artist
10 of a series
She went to the foot of the stairs to meet the hired killer as he descended, speaking to him briefly and indicating the table with her companions. They seated him opposite the Artist.
"You know why I'm here", he said to the Artist, ignoring everyone else.
"I know," was the answer " It's business. I also know, if you sat down, we can negotiate".
I looked around, suddenly seeing how the pieces were starting to fit together, me, the dame, Mac.

Day 3 Donations Accepted (photography)
I went to meet a friend at a coffee shop in Alameda, California today and saw what looked like a bright orange parking meter on the sidewalk just next to the building. If you look closely you will see that it's a mechanism to collect donations to help end homelessness. Creative, interesting, and definitely the first I've seen of this type of collection device.

Day 4 - Daisies in the meadow watercolor painting.
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/daisies-in-the-meadow-karen-kaspar.html
In my garden there are several corners where wildflowers can grow. These beautiful oxeye daisies or marguerites caught my eye today and I had to paint this watercolor painting.
Don't mow your lawn! Let the wildflowers grow! If you give back parts of your garden to nature without to much intervention, wildflowers like daisies, dandelions, poppies, clover, cornflowers and many more will bloom and attract bees, butterflies and other insects. A delight for nature and for the gardener and artist.

Day 04 of 30
11. 'My Thoughts Danced' ink on paper
The Artist hired me to find the hit man. I found him through Mac, who seemed to be innocent in all this. The dame turned up, also looking for the hit man.
I watched a couple dance, the music speeding up. My thoughts danced, then began to line up.
Mac was a bystander, I was the investigator, she had hardly been sent as well by the Artist. That meant she was in on it, or followed me, or both. I gripped her forearm, out of sight. She felt it and flashed me a piercing look.

Day 5 - Yellow bearded Iris watercolor painting.
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/yellow-bearded-iris-karen-kaspar.html
This beautiful yellow bearded Iris in my garden opened her blossoms two days ago. So today I decided to paint this loose watercolor flower portrait. I painted on handmade watercolour paper I bought some years ago in a little shop. The paper has a wonderful unique texture and is great for wet in wet paintings.
I inherited this yellow bearded Iris plant from my grandmother years ago. Every summer her beautiful bright yellow blossoms remind me of my grandma and her wonderful garden.

Day 9 - Calico cat portrait painting.
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/calico-cat-portrait-karen-kaspar.html
The owner of this beautiful tricolor or calico cat told me, that only the female cats have the three colors white, black and orange as pattern in their fur. This cat had two sons, one was white with black patches, the other one was white with orange patches.
In many countries people believe these cats with calico coloring bring good luck. In Germany they are called Glückskatze, which means literally lucky cat. In the United States, these are sometimes referred to as money cats. In Maryland in the United States the state cat is a cat of the calico coloration. Japanese sailors often had a calico ship's cat for protection.

Day 27
This sunset at Skatet Beach, Cape Cod in June was phenomenal. The sun halo was incredible and lasted well after the sun had sunk below the horizon ( more photos to follow). The local photographers told me it was the best sunset by far they had seen this year. I was so fortunate to have been there.

Day 27 - White peony stilllife acrylic painting.
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/white-peony-stilllife-karen-kaspar.html
A beautiful white peony in a blue vase is the subject of this acrylic painting. The delicate white of the flower is contrasting with the dark indigo colored abstract background. This beautiful flower is growing in my neighbours garden and inspired me to this stilllife painting.

To be honest, the peony of my neighbour is blossoming white and I painted yesterday a stilllife painting with this white peony in a blue vase. But I liked it so much, that I decided to paint a second one today, but with a bright pink blossom. They complement each other perfectly.

Day 29 - This is my original photograph of a row of tulips in a tulip field (there is a tulip farm in north Texas that grows them and they bloom every Spring. You can go through the fields and take photographs and you can also purchase stems of tulips). I processed the image in an impressionist style to give it an Artsy appearance and brings out the rich yellow and red tones of the tulips.

Day 29
A lone fish jumping against the tide and the power of the crashing wave to make it back out to sea and not end up on the beach.

Day 30 :)
Wonderful Waves at Waimanalo Beach on Oahu, Hawaii. One of my favorite places.
My soul is full of longing
for the secret of the sea,
and the heart of the great ocean
sends a thrilling pulse through me.”

Day 30 !!!!! - Catnap in the sunshine soft pastels painting.
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/catnap-in-the-sunshine-karen-kaspar.html
A cute little tabby cat is having a catnap on a weathered wooden table in the summer garden. She is relaxing and enjoying the warm summer sun on her fur. I captured this peaceful and serene scene with soft pastels.

Day 30 It's been good for me to have to sit at my computer each day and process a photograph. I've enjoyed seeing everyone else's submissions, as well. Thanks, Abbie, for having the challenge and congratulations to all who participated.
This is one of the leg rower fishermen from yesterday's image from Inle Lake in Myanmar. I can't imagine how they can do this, but they do!
