This piece started out as an abstract. I wanted to convey the beauty of a full moon and how it brings forth the magic of the night, along with its spirituality and mystery.

This work represents Ray Charles in his music, at the piano in full concert.
Here is a work that pays a vibrant tribute to Ray Charles this incomparable genius: multi-instrumentalist musician, pianist, singer-songwriter, conductor, who leaves us artistic treasures that will remain eternally engraved in the universal memory.

As my artwork is an installation, occupying my entire AW, I use this landing page ‘poster’ to represent it here. I do this rather than bombard this thread with every component image.

My new upload today for day 2 of the 30 day challenge - Portrait of Eurasian Blue tit bird acrylic painting.

These Eurasian Blue tits - Cyanistes caeruleus - are common visitors in my garden. In winter I had the pleasure to watch these cute little birds at the bird feeder enjoing sunflower seeds. In the spring and summer garden they prefer insects and spiders for their diet. The bird in this acrylic portrait painting is sitting on a branch in a green bush.

Long and tiring day, drove more than 140 miles, not counting the milage getting lost when both my car GPS and Google maps lost signal and took me in the wrong direction.

It was worth the long way drive, to paint at such an inspiring historic location on a gorgeous day. I instantly found the boat that I wanted to paint, only set up took me longer time, my umbrella kept falling down to the ground with every little bit of wind. Finally Al, the organizer artist, helped and made it stable. There were still many people at the wharf even though it was a weekday. Some of them might be coming daily to buy fresh fish. I didn't have time to think anything else, tried to focus on my work. A motorcycle never turned off the engine, made very loud noises behind me. The situation improved after the motorcycle was gone.

Watercolor and ink picture of a Century Plant. I saw this amazing, towering plant for the first time a few years ago, when we went camping in southwest Texas at Davis Mountains State Park. I could not wait to look it up to learn more about it. I found it was commonly referred to as a century plant. I'm not sure why it's called a century plant. It does not take 100 years to flower, nor does it even live that long. The name “century plant” comes from the fact that the slow-growing plant takes years to flower. The upward-facing yellow flowers grow in clusters at the end of horizontal branches near the top of a tall stalk which emerges from a thick basal rosette of gray-green leaves. The scientific name is Agave Americana, but common names besides century plant include sentry plant, maguey or American aloe. It is native to Mexico and the Texas. Today, it is cultivated worldwide as an ornamental plant. I hope you get to see one in person soon. Truly it is a wonderful sight!
This watercolor and ink piece is Day 2 of a 30 day Challenge I'm participating in with fellow artists here at Fineartamerica. This Challenge I plan to create various ink sketches in my new little art journal. Sometimes I will color these ink sketches partly in with watercolors. Other times I might not. I hope to improve my sketching skills over these next 30 days!

Today it was hot, I was well prepared and painted on the side walk path under trees. I didn't plan to paint the car, the composition I don't usually set up in the very middle. I remembered that one of my paintings sold to a shop owner nearby, his wife told me that my painting was all about his life, shop, boat and car...

Description : I have exuded the idea of deconstructing physical spaces, playing the role of a bricoleur, finding beauty and recreating it through the technique of Cubism. This series of paintings focuses on different kinds of architectural spaces in an unconventional manner, finding aesthetic essence in their deconstruction.

My new upload today - Pink rose close up watercolor painting.

https://fineartamerica.com/featured/pink-rose-close-up-karen-kaspar.html

Now in June is the time, when the beautiful and delicate roses are blossoming in the summer garden. They delight artists, gardeners and lovers with their bright colors and perfume scents.
This is a watercolor painting of a close up of a rose in vibrant shades of pink. The center of the rose is curling up like a spiral.

I am participating in Abbie Shores Fine Art America 30 Day challenge starting May 31, 2021. The aim is to create and upload one artwork each day for 30 days.
Day 18 of 30: Pink Rose close up watercolor painting.
