Email Notifications And Contacting Tech-support


When I first signed up for FAA I was having trouble receiving emails. I had read that there was a problem with some types of emails not working properly. I tried another type of email account and everything was working great for a very long time, until recently.

My settings are still the same but notifications just stop coming to me.

Yesterday I contacted tech support by using the contact on the bottom of the page. I did not receive an email confirmation that my message was sent. (I was asking about that in the another discussion) perhaps tech-support is just very busy and they will still get back to me. However from my understanding of what someone else said we should be getting a confirmation on those emails?

Are other people also experiencing a situation where they're not getting notifications anymore?

Thankfully this has nothing to do with sales but I just want to have everything working so I can be prepared for the big rush of shoppers coming my way(ok maybe not) but you just never know.

This is really weird. I just responded to your above message Abbie. My response disappeared.

I never received your message.

I can access the messages sent to me directly online, but nothing gets forwarded to me anymore.

Would it be possible for you to resend that via the direct FAA message system?

Sue, I first noticed it about two weeks ago and I have seen numerous threads about it. It seems like this happens a couple of times a year.

unless you use gmail you won't get the mail. after a while spam filters see the same messages from the same place and put us in the spam folder and then tells other spam programs to remove us. so no one really gets the mail including customers. gmail so far hasn't removed my stuff. once it did, but i was able to fix that.

Earlier this morning I set up a gmail account.

I don't think a lot of people know about this until they have issues.

I'm glad to hear it actually works.

A WHOLE load of people do not use gmail and yet get every single email we send.

There are literally 5 sites that block us now and then., Even they allow the emails again after a while

the weird thing about not getting it is - you do get it, just not all of them. comcast will give you all then like 80%, then like 50% and then it goes down and down until you get nothing at all. the same pattern holds true for others. you don't know what you aren't getting. and you don't realize things are erased because you still get some. its almost like a drug.

i think it really depends how much mail you get from the site and if the filters saw it.

according to many reviews of the site, customer service not getting back to them is like number one. so there are many that don't get it at all.

I did not get the email from my last sale. Yes I checked the junk folder, no I didn't change anything and I do have gmail.

 

I have my own mail server on a dedicated server and I get the mail (because of course I do), BUT FAA does not receive my mail, and hasn't for years. Go figure. My husband has checked several times, I am not on any spam lists, and I shouldn't be because I rarely send email. This tells me that for some reason FAA has me blocked, and though I've tried many times I don't seem to be able to get unblocked.

I have gmail and have always received emails immediately after placing orders for drop shipping to my Etsy shop.

UNTIL last weekend, when I placed several orders and never got any emails to confirm.

I also haven't received any response from my customer service ticket. Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don't. Never have this problem with any other company so I just don't understand why it's happened for years here.
