I’m all about small towns. They are a vanishing breed. They are simple, authentic, and charming.
I shoot with a canon 5D Mark IV. Love shooting at dusk. Always shoot HDR

I'm into machines and gadgets. Below is an abstract watercolor based on the interior of an old mortise door lock.

Whatever is in front of me mostly.

Anything I think can sell.

That's kind of a blank answer but I look at many things and shoot everything.

White-Breasted Nuthatch by Marlin and Laura Hum

White-Breasted Nuthatch

White-breasted nuthatches, sometimes referred to as upside-down birds, have blue gray backs, sharp upturned bills, white underparts, and chestnut colored spots under its short tail. Males have a darker cap than females. This nuthatch was photographed in Chateauguay, Quebec, Canada, in the spring.

TALL STACKS WALL ARTThe Paddle Wheelers of Yesterday are still around, but don't usually transport people and cargo like they did at one time. Cincinnati was well known for it's " Tall Stacks Festival " attracting close to one million a couple of times, but like most things when they get to large and attract too many it causes problems, taking on the responsibility of safety for the people, not to mention the cost. My impression is that public interest paled; then there was cost (approximately $10 million for each year) and the difficulty finding corporate sponsors,” Councilman Mann says. “And, convincing river captains to come, leaving their home ports.” Not the least of it was that Congress essentially killed off the Delta Queen by revoking an exemption that allowed wooden-hulled boats to carry overnight passengers. “The Delta Queen was a big part of it,” Findsen says. “Why did the Tall Stacks end? Most of the authentic boats were grounded by federal safety regulations, and the excursion boats that replaced them had difficulty adjusting their busy schedules to the event. Excerpts from others. Here's to the past "Paddle Wheelers" Sell Art Online

I've made several trips from Ohio to Iowa to photograph the "Bridges of Madison County" made famous by the movie with Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep, a moving love story about a photographer on assignment to shoot the historic bridges of Madison County Iowa. He meets a housewife whos husband and kids are away on a trip and a brief love affair that is never sordid but instead where soul mates meet too late. Sell Art Online

I love variety... anything I find interesting but I'm especially drawn to water scenes of any kind.

A grayscale image of a misty morning at Oak Point Harbor marina in Pasadena, MD. Some figures walk the pier checking the boats and the lifting fog. I manually stitched together two images for a slightly wider version of this composition. (Original 7-24-11 but his version processed 11-13-20).

If it's landscape photography, my favourite are twilights, because it's always a surprise. You never know what you're going to find, and most people think only about the sunrise but are not early enough for a nice blue hour.

If it's about portraits, I love bodyscape because the model is always surprised at what an image will show. They never see themselves they way I see them.
