I've been using AI in some of my artworks for years now. It's really not new anymore, LOL!

These have been around for years. Nothing new here. I have actually sold some of them here.

Here is one I uploaded in 2013. I have several created by this program. When I sold a couple of them I went back to find the program to do more and could not find it.

Hey, this is pretty cool. See, anyone can create art!

Whats the resolution output?

Floyd Snyder

Saved right out of the program they are about 400k and 1080 x 1920.

However, through the magic of gigapixels, they are 16.1 meg and 3742 x 5900

Susan Maxwell Schmidt

Even the base res ain't bad for AI.

Val Arie

That was cool and somewhat depressing in a way.

Floyd Snyder

Val, I kind of agree with you. I had a ball playing with it for several hours yesterday and again this morning.

The more you play with it you can all of a sudden start seeing some of the images looking pretty much the same.

However, I really, really like some of the things I was able to create, or should I say the program created for me.

I have mixed feelings about it. This program is pretty limited but I can see them advancing as time goes on and there may actually be more advanced programs out there.

I don't really see them selling but I am going to upload some of them just for the hell of it and see if I can sell one.

Shelli Fitzpatrick

I've already taken 3 of them into Gimp to use the color palettes and add a little human touch. I will be uploading them to see what happens.

Floyd Snyder

Good on you Shelli!

Yes, they do need a bit of tweaking. I am using a combination of PhotoShop and Topaz.

I am trying to get something a little different than what comes right out of the app.

Shelli Fitzpatrick

Here's wishing us luck selling, Floyd!

Floyd - Shelli - Let us know if you sell one!

I started to get sucked in, I did two - the second one with words added to the first words to see if I could reconize the first piece in it. Not really, but it looked sort of the same. I even thought of uploading one.

That's when I walked away. Selling one would be totally depressing to me! But would love to here how you guys do.

Shelli Fitzpatrick

I'll let you know for sure Val. :)

AI artwork *always* needs tweaking. Usually a lot of tweaking, and even more if you don't want it to necessarily look like AI artwork.

Deborah League

Here's one that I did. I put it through Photoshop and Topaz. Enlarged with Gigapixel and worked on gently defining some of the images that I saw, still leaving them somewhat vague. Would love to hear what people think.

I've heard of this, so now I'm trying it out as we speak.

How long is it supposed to take? It's been "Creating" for quite a while now.

I entered "science fiction" as the prompt and selected "Steampunk" as the art style...

UPDATE: Must have been a glitch. I tried the same a second time and it worked instantaneously with pretty darn cool results. Wow, fun.

Floyd Snyder

I love it, Deborah!

I have gone crazy with this thing. Sometimes I just hit the redo as many as 20 0r 30 times to get something I like.

I have become quite fond of the Steampunk filter. I am doing a collection of all Steampunks. I even created my own imaginary winery. I have over a dozen wine images to upload. 😂

https://fasgallerycom.pixels.com/collections/steampunk

This program actually works just a little better on your iPhone. But then you have to get them off your iPhone.

David Manlove

@Floyd - I am instantly fascinated by this program and have been doing it on my PC. It is addicting. AI is taking over!! Love your steampunk collection so far...

I shouldn't be having this much fun, ha

Very interesting Alex thank you for sharing!
I did try a couple of samples, nothing really worth showing off with I guess…

Thank you, Alex, for sharing it is interesting indeed. I played around with it but only had a couple that I kind of liked but not sure if its good enough to post, I may tweak them a bit, who knows it might sell since most out there buy pretty much anything that is strangely weird, lol! Happy holidays to all!

Wuhterkuhler ... sounds almost like something that should be on Abbie's restricted list of cuss words!!

Question for you womboers....

Why hasn't anyone started an FAA group yet for images created with wombo or any of the AI programs? Or am I just not seeing them?

My preference is NightCafe creator.

It offers more than Wombo and has a very clear licensing structure.

The image here involved no post processing; except a slight enlargement, with you guessed it an AI enlarger.

Floyd you might notice that the image is the group icon.

Deep dream generator and Artbreeder are also very good. Deem dream generator is probably the best; and Artbreeder is probably one of the oldest.

However neither is text to art based, so not VQGAN + CLIP

NightCafe is.

A new contest has just began

https://fineartamerica.com/contests/ai-in-wonderland.html?tab=overview&saved=true

''Only one rule; it needs to be AI art and it need to be fantasy themed.
Pre-processing or post-processing is fine.''

ps please tweet (or post elsewhere) the hashtag #buyartnotcandy [this is not one of the rules in the contest.]

@David

Yes, I admin a group at facebook for Wombo Dream AI

https://www.facebook.com/groups/4524843000976067

There is a very interesting Ekphrastic AI art generator (ekphrastic.net)
but I think its an artist who takes your text input and then manually
manufactures some interesting looking art ... but is it wholly machine-made?

Floyd Snyder

If you are looking for Facebooks groups to post your wombo and other abstracts in here are a couple of links. But make sure you read the rules. We are very strict as far as what we allow. Selling is find, but no #Hashtags, video, anything that moves, or more than 2 or 3 images in one post. Read the rules!

Just to note; that The Mad Hatter goes dystopian; and the Mad Hatter goes steampunk look quite similar. The difference are not due to post processing (there was none); but came from evolving the first image with some additional text.
Basically the more iterations you do the more you can evolve the image. This involves a decision making process and this where that art is for me.

Digital painting Life Under The Sea by Deborah League

Life Under The Sea Digital Painting. Deep below the surface of the ocean the water is cold and quiet. Sea creatures move silently through the water while plant life gently sways with the current. Painted primarily in shades of blue and green, this calming image will not only bring a sense of serenity to any wall, but can be used for meditation as well.

The real Lone Cypress
This abstract is a take-off on the world-famous Lone Cypress.

Lone Cypress is located on the world-famous 17 Mile drive that runs along what many think is the most beautiful and picturesque coastline in the world. The two-lane road runs between Monterey California to the famous art town of Carmel By The Sea. Carmel was also made even more famous when Clint Eastwood served as mayor.

guys just one question.its ok to sell this art here or elsewere as long as we give wombo credit right?

Jack Torcello

Wombo says use all you like, but please credit.
It seems Wombo is using copyrighted works
behind all the great art. Just have fun until
that is proven! It may not last!
