I don't think it's strange at all...but I love canned fish. Tuna, mackerel, sardines, herring. I love that stuff, especially packed in olive oil with various spices...but not always...sometimes just packed in water.
Sometimes when I'm craving cheesecake, I'll just take a couple of tablespoons of cream cheese and pour a little maple syrup on it and eat that. I don't do that often, but once in a while. Or cream cheese with honey drizzled on top.
I like black bamboo, but have not had it in a while.
I like seaweed.
I like mixed olives from the supermarket help yourself trays. Sold by the pound. I will get a third of a pound.
I eat garlic raw for my intestine.
I just had organic apple cider vinegar for my gut.
I buy the Taylor Vegetable Tray at Costco with the ranch dip in the center. I eat about 2/3 of the dip with the veggies over the course of about three days. It is like getting a veggie salad one or two times a day at under $2 per salad. I do not toss in greens but I could.
And one that Abbie would edit know All Sorts. Greatest candy of all time.
David, I do the garlic, but be careful as two much raw can actually upset the gut. I roast whole heads of it in the oven and they are so much more appetizing, I'll eat 1 or two whole heads which I can't do raw, raw only for certain dishes and just several cloves.
J L Meadows, I have both of the cravings you have for green olives with pimento and peanut butter from the jar...but not much due because it's filling. What kind of peanut butter do you like best?
I have many weird food relationships. I love animal proteins but am sensitive to animals as food. I love making food more than eating it for some reason and food art is very important to me or food presentation.
I can't stand vegetables either! All my life, I've hated them. In my adult life, I've found a couple that I can tolerate, but "like" is a strong word for them. I force myself to eat a few now and then because they're sort of medicinal, but I'd never snack on them.
I've lost 27 pounds since September on a low carb, high fat, zero sugar, keto diet (below 25g carbs a day). It has been a challenge to change my eating habits and give up sugar. I used to love to snack on potato chips and now potatoes are off my list.
But I still crave peanut butter so I eat in on celery since I can't have bread. green olives are one of my go to snacks as well. I am learning to love lemon water instead of diet pop, mostly...
Oh and I like Jif no sugar added peanut butter! so good!
it is weird how sweet everything tastes when you stop eating sugar.
