This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
The inspiration for this painting comes from my love of nature, my garden, backyard and observing the beauty contained there. I painted several studies of this ant exploring the hollyhock just after my mom's best friend died so this was also a tribute to him. Of the studies, this is my personal favorite.

In 1996 I read Julia Cameron's "The Artist's Way" and became inspired that MAYBE I could paint. In 1997 I took an oil painting class in Beaumont, California with A. Goodman. I joined the San Gorgonio Pass Artist's Association and Hemet Valley Art Association and won many awards in juried shows with my landscape and seascape paintings. I am a member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. In 2006 my husband and I moved to New Mexico and I joined the Rio Grande Art Association and New Mexico Art League. I took a plein air painting workshop "Enchanted Landscapes" with David W. Mayer April 22-24, 2010 in Albuquerque.
