Description
This is an image of an original oil painting from my American Landscapes series. It features colorful autumn forest preserve in Maryland. The outcrop of trees is catching the warm afternoon sunshine, a sensational sight that is reflected in the waters of the lake. There is a slight breeze that causes gentle ripples on the water, breaking up the perfect mirror image of the trees to create an 'eye dazzler' effect. 'Eye dazzlers' are the geometric rugs made by Dineh (Navajo) Native Americans.

Where I am in central Texas we don't have great deciduous forests and fall foliage on the scale you've showed here from Maryland. You've certainly conveyed the feeling of what it's like.
