The original photo was taken during the Helena History Fair, where many reenactors were in old-timey garb. The Helena Walking Mall made a great backdrop, as many of the buildings are on the National Historic Registry.
The background has been digitally enhanced to give it an old-world look, using PPPro 10 to selectively add color to charcoal toning.
