I painted this in one day onto a treated canvas primed with a dark reddish brown green color. It was an odd choice for an initial color treatment; but the paint was mixed and left over from another painting, so I slathered it onto this new canvas and let it partially dry. I wanted to paint another seaside beach scene, but usually I begin with an initial treatment of bright pink or yellow. Nevertheless, I like this. It was easy, breezy, and fun. I painted it from a photo (Sandy Path to the Beach) I took during one of my many beach days. Enjoy!
