Description:

Several years ago I had a couple of white ducks that roamed over the property. There was also a flock of Barn Swallows that were in the area. Frequently one of the swallows would pick up one of the duck down feathers, and carry it up 40 or fifty feet and release it. As it floated down, another swallow would catch it, carry it back up, and release it again. This behavior would continue over and over sometimes for a half hour or so. There was absolutely no purpose for this other than the bird were playing. This picture shows that process, and hopefully shows the joy of the birds.
